Press Galore! Still need to raise $4,000 ...

Hi backers,

At the risk of being repetitive, we would like to thank you once again for all your support. It's a testament to your generosity and action that we have raised almost $16,000!

The media coverage of our campaign has been plentiful of late. Here are a few highlights from The Huffington Post, Colorlines and Jeremiah's Vanishing New York.

And we wanted to let you know about two fundraising events coming up in the next week:

On Sunday, August 21, at the Dekalb Market in Downtown Brooklyn, Cuzin's Duzin will be hosting an all-day DoughNation Fundraiser for My Brooklyn. ALL PROCEEDS from the day will go to the  campaign. The donuts are unbelievably delicious so drop by if you can.

And on Thursday, August 25th from 6-9pm Filmwax is hosting a fundraising party for My Brooklyn at the Fifth Estate in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Please send friends! We will show clips, have discussion and party. If have friends who you think would want to support the film, by all means bring them by!

Thanks! Keep spreading the word. It will be over soon and hopefully we'll have $20,000 to finish the movie when it happens! Remember, if we don't reach the goal by Sept. 3 we lose everything!
