Harbor Maiden Jeans stemmed from a simple reality, women's pants sacrifice practicality for "style". Women's pants have extremely small pockets, if they even get pockets at all! Our aim is to change that! Over the past months we have been coming up with designs and implementing clever structural elements into our jeans that allow women to not only have deep, usable pockets, but while also keeping the stylish designs they love and a comfort they can come to enjoy and expect from Harbor Maiden Jeans!
It all seems so simple right?
"Why can't I have pockets like my boyfriend?"
"Wait.... the pockets are stitched shut?!"
"Can you carry these? I don't have pockets and really don't feel like carrying a bag..."
Is the grand design to create jeans that don't have pockets so women will buy more purses and bags? Bags that they ultimately shouldn't have to need if they don't need? That's how it seems to be going.
We're not simple minded, we know this is a serious endeavor and we are prepped and ready to assault it head on!
"Why is your goal such a large dollar amount?"
The answer is simple. A couple of people can't hope to carry all this out from a second bedroom of a 900 sq. ft. apartment! We will need a large area to warehouse all the jeans, many hands to sorts and package all the orders, staff to answer and questions or inquiries that come our way, and the comes the costs of creating thousands of pairs of jeans! (we hope)
concepts are already designed, patterns made, a manufacturer within the US chosen for production... We're ready.
The bottleneck we now come to is having the appropriate finances to begin the process! We have 6 different styles (with room for more) and want to make jeans from size 0 all the way through to 20!
