Soft Cage Films NFP is proud to present GRAFFITO!
GRAFFITO is the story of an up and coming filmmaker endeavoring to tell the story of an exciting underground graffiti artist who leads a transient existence on the margins of society. Graffito tries to impress young Lorelei with his art/passion/vandalism/crimes, but he can't be too obvious about it because he doesn't want to blatantly blow his cover and face arrest. Meanwhile, the filmmaker and actor disagree with the direction of the film, creating a rift that derails the entire project and challenges the ethics of responsible filmmaking.

Your generous contributions will be utilized in the following 3 ways:
1-Food on set - Our talented cast and crew is generously donating their time, but acting takes energy, and food is energy! I'll leave it up to you to make the connection.
2-Props, batteries, light bulbs, and memory cards.
3-Costs associated with film festival submissions - these include submission fees, postage, packaging, and DVD duplication.
Upon completion, the 70-minute film will be submitted to national and international film festivals with the eventual goal of distribution. Several screenings in Chicago are also planned.
Our last feature film, YELLOW, was praised by critics and secured an international distribution deal across all platforms including theatrical.

Risks and challenges
One of the risks associated with producing a film is weather. We will be shooting a lot of this film outdoors and there is the possibility of delay. We hope to complete principle photography by the end of March, but may bleed into April. Our goal with GRAFFITO is to have the film completed by mid Summer 2014 and ready for the festival circuit. The more money that we raise, the more festival submissions we can make, and the better chance that GRAFFITO will play at a venue near you!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
