Hey there! I'm Robert Levy, author of the supernatural thriller The Glittering World. Since the novel was published earlier this year, there's been one question I've received about the book more than any other:
Will there ever be an audiobook edition?
Today, I am thrilled to finally answer YES! And I've assembled a dream team of friends and accomplices to help bring my spooky story to life.
The Glittering World audiobook will be recorded THIS MONTH by David Rapkin, the legendary Grammy®-winning producer and director of The Harry Potter audiobooks, as well as hundreds more titles. It will be narrated by Edoardo Ballerini, the Audie®-winning talent behind books like Beautiful Ruins and My Struggle. David and Edoardo will be joining me at New York's Merlin Studios to record during the last two weeks of September 2015.
There's only one catch...
I'm going to need your support to finish the project. We're putting this audiobook together without my publisher--just me and my husband Dan!--and David and Edoardo have generously lowered their fees to make this as affordable a venture as possible. I'm asking for YOUR help to bring this unique opportunity to fruition.
We'd love it if you gave any amount you can. But if you pledge thirty dollars, you get the audiobook, which, trust me, is going to be fantastic. You'll receive a digital copy of the audiobook before anyone else does. And if your pledge is in by September 27, you'll get thanked on the audiobook itself.
There are also tons of rewards at a dozen different price levels, including signed copies of the hardcover or paperback, exclusive items and events, and editorial services like manuscript critiques and query letter assistance that put my twenty years of professional writing experience to work. And every backer will get updates as we go behind-the-scenes in the recording studio and beyond.
Check out the rewards, and please consider kicking in! Thanks so much for being part of this amazing journey with me. I promise it's going to be great.

ROBERT LEVY (Author)
Robert is a writer of unsettling stories and plays whose work has been seen Off-Broadway. A Harvard graduate subsequently trained as a forensic psychologist, his work has been called "frank and funny" (Time Magazine), "idiosyncratic and disarming" (The New York Times), "ambitious and clever" (Variety), "smart" (The Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction) and "bloody brave" (the UK's SFX Magazine). His first novel, the contemporary dark fairy tale The Glittering World, was published worldwide in February by Gallery/Simon & Schuster. A native Brooklynite, he can also be found at TheRobertLevy.com.
Check out the book trailer for The Glittering World:
When Michael "Blue" Whitley — a former party boy turned up-and-coming chef — returns with three friends to the remote Canadian commune of his birth, he discovers that his entire life has been a carefully orchestrated lie. He is in fact someone else altogether, a replacement for a local child who disappeared twenty-five years earlier. He is something not quite human.
Set among the artisans, burnouts, and New Age mystics of remote Cape Breton, The Glittering World is a dark and modern fairy tale, a novel of self-identity and supernatural suspense.
"Brilliant and terrifying." (John Berendt, author of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil)
"The Glittering World is a stunning phantasmagoria drawn from the world just beneath the surface, aswarm with great and memorable characters and a plot that twists and turns as it hurtles forward. A grand debut. One taste, and you'll be addicted." (Keith Donohue, author of The Stolen Child)
"Fast paced, yet it also succeeds as a reflective tale of self-discovery...Well crafted, atmospheric, and whimsical, this will attract readers who enjoy Neil Gaiman and Mark Z. Danielewski." (Library Journal)
"A luscious, compelling tangle of a thriller. The Glittering World maps the realms of friendship and identity, the mythic and the contemporary. I loved it." (Kelly Link, author of Get in Trouble)
