The Story
This film follows Sarah, a college student of a small town that is stuck in a depressive state. Unable to pull herself out of it, she turns to two people who offer her a way out: Jamie, her long-time friend who believes there is no God, and Grace, an acquaintance who truly believes that his holy love will bring her a happiness that she realized was missing. Can either of these two bring Sarah the comfort she craves? Or will she be stuck in limbo having to figure it out on her own?
Why “FAITH”?
The concept of religion and belief in the unknown is something of a dilemma itself. Some people claim that our Father above will be the one to bring you eternal peace and happiness; while others believe praying to an unknown figure above is a waste of time OR in something entirely different. No matter what way you look at it, the truth is no one truly sees eye to eye and everyone has their own set of beliefs in this confusing yet compelling topic. Narratively in this piece, we explore through the eyes of one girl of how this simple theme of FAITH arises conflict and puts tension between her and others, especially those she cares about. On top religion, communication is big theme covered in this particular film. When someone experiences something so tragic or shocking, sometimes that person can’t fully communicate what he/she needs to heal. Therefore it’s left up to the people and friends around to have to figure out what solution is best. Which unfortunately at times can lead to more hurt and pain than before. With Sarah unable to communicate her feelings properly, it’s up to anybody’s guess as to what will help her in the end.
The Collaborative Support Behind The Project:
As we all know, it doesn’t just take one person to create an effective film. We’ve been able to work and develop this project some amazingly talented folks, creating a hard-working and collaborative team.
Some of the lovely people include:
Chelsea Wingo – WRITER/DIRECTOR

Raised in Avon, CT, Chelsea was always active in performing arts and passionate about creating her own stories that people could connect with. Since moving to Los Angeles, the passions have grown and lead her to expand her work in filmmaking and writing. Her recent project Let Go (2017) is currently entering film festivals and she’s hungry to take on more.
Amy Covell – PRODUCER

Having started as a child actor, she has made the entertainment industry a lifelong passion. She loves bringing a director’s vision to life. Her most recently produced feature “Saltwater” has just secured distribution. She currently has several short form projects in various stages of production, and just completed the reality TV pilot America’s Common Ground, with Edge TV Productions. With a plethora of works already on her resume, Amy is no doubt more than able to take FAITH and make it the best it can be.
April Sutton – PRODUCER

Currently a Digital Rights Manager for America’s Funniest Videos, this gal from Gastonia, NC has skills needed to round up and manage a stellar cast for this short. April was also one of the producer’s behind creating Let Go, written and directed by Chelsea above.
Adam Kassel – PRODUCER/A.D

Born in New Jersey and raised in Las Vegas, this driven filmmaker has done more than his fair share of work in the industry by working for many production companies (Disney, CBS, Digital Paradigm). On top of Assistant Directing Let Go last year, he’s best known for his work on Boyana, Get Wed Soon, and Samaritans. Adam just produced his first feature Banging Lanie, currently in post production, and has written and directed several comedic shorts that will be screening later this year.
