Timeshift is a reprint digital anthology collecting time and time travel flash fiction stories from 36 authors in the genre. In the anthology are time stories spanning the adventures (and mishaps) of time travel, time manipulation, time zones, time loops, paradoxes, accidents, twisted futures and so many more penned by both established and emerging authors in the genre.
So why do we need funding?
To pay the authors for their stories. These stories are reprints but we want to make sure the authors get compensated for the hard work they’ve put into their stories that you, the readers, benefit from.
What are our goals?
If we raise the initial $450, we will have enough to pay for professional ebook formatting and every author will get .01 a word for their reprint story. This is the base goal, but we feel the authors should be better compensated for their work. Therefore these are our stretch goals:
$750 - Authors are compensated .02 a word for their stories. (Typical industry standard for reprints)
$1,050 - Authors are compensated .03 a word for their stories.
$1,350 - Payment is upped to .04 a word.
$1,650 - Payment is upped to .05 a word PLUS a secret reward is unlocked!!!
More rewards will be added as goals are reached.
Beyond the monetary goals, there are several rewards offered for reaching a certain number of backers in this project. They are as follows:
25 backers- A BONUS story penned by Alex Shvartsman will be added into the Timeshift anthology. This is a different story than the one offered as a backer reward and will be included in the back of the anthology itself.
50 backers- A second story by Cat Rambo will be added to the anthology!
75 backers- A short story penned by multi-award-winning author Kristine Kathryn Rusch will be added to the anthology.
100 backers- A bonus story from a mystery author which will be disclosed when reaching this goal.

Risks and challenges
The only foreseeable risk in this project is not reaching the initial goal. We want to pay our authors for their stories and refuse to move forward with the project without compensating our authors. So, unfortunately, if this project does not fund it will not get off the ground. Aside from that, all stories are in place and there are no further foreseeable risks and challenges.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
