Introducing The Wall Garden
The Wall Garden is like a painting you would hang on your wall, only the artwork is the beauty of life. Watch plants transform over a blank canvas. Hang it, fill it with water, and plug it in. That simple. With three easy steps you can grow fresh herbs, flowers, and vegetables conveniently on your wall.
What is The Wall Garden?
The Wall Garden is a fully automated Aeroponics plant growth system, that controls both watering and lighting to optimize growing conditions and minimize human input. Aside from its functionality, The Wall Garden was designed to resemble wall-mounted artwork, creating Art in the form of growing herbs and vegetables; Living Art changing daily and in constant transformation. The Wall Garden sits at the intersection of green design and modern art. A profound contrast is created by having growing green plants spring to life off a blank canvas.
The Wall Garden is patent pending.
Scaling-Up!
We need your help to raise funds and bring this product to market! Right now, we are currently building each Wall Garden by hand in our basement workshop. With the right backing, we can produce the tooling necessary for scale-up, obtain a legitimate space for production and other business operations, and build our Living Art brand!
Share us with your family and friends!
At Living Art LLC, we strive to bring innovative agricultural solutions to society; starting with The Wall Garden. When you pledge to support The Wall Garden, you are investing in a team of motivated intelligent engineers who are dedicated to positively impacting our world.
How It Works
The unit is filled with water/nutrients via the fill spout on the side of the unit. A pump automatically sprays the water onto the sprouts, watering the plants. The water falls down into the reservoir where it is recirculated. An LED light is mounted atop the unit providing the necessary amount of lighting for the correct duration of time. All you have to do, is refill the reservoir about every 2 - 4 weeks depending on the maturation of the plants.
Why Aeroponics?
Aeroponics is a plant growing method where the roots of plants are sprayed with water and nutrients. There are several advantages of aeroponics when compared to traditional growing methods, hydroponics, and aquaponics. Read more about the benefits and science of aeroponics from a NASA report and by Powerhouse Hydroponics.

Setting Up The Wall Garden
1. Insert the provided screw into a stud or the drywall anchor into your wall.
2. Hang the unit onto the mount as you would any picture.
3. Magnetically attach the frame.
4. Wet the pods to facilitate sprouting and insert them into the unit.
5. Fill the unit up with the water/nutrient mix via the fill spout on the side of the unit.
6. Plug The Wall Garden in, set your light start time so that it doesn't bother you during sleep, and let The Wall Garden grow the plants.
7. Download the app to: get low water warnings, remotely set the light start time, obtain user-tutorials on how to best grow certain plants, and view facts regarding the science of plant growth.
Sprouting Research and Development
We have been growing plants sideways for almost a year now and have successfully grown a variety of plants. We are working on creating the correct conditions for growing many new plants such as flowers and strawberries!
We have successfully and consistently grown: Basil, Lettuce, Dill, Cilantro, Kale, Dwarfed Cucumber, Mint, Borage, Parsley, Dwarfed Peas in a Pod, Arugula, Thyme, Marjoram, Rosemary, Cherry Tomatoes and others...
Internet of Things Integration
The Wall Garden comes with a fully integrated app. The app will directly connect with your Wall Garden and includes features such as:
- Water level notifications
- Remotely set light start time
- Tutorials on how to properly operate The Wall Garden
- Facts regarding the science of plant growth
- Recipes for the plants you are growing
- *future* Live video stream of plants and creation of time-lapses
Fitting The Wall Garden Into Any Home!
We will have all sorts of unit and frame customization so that it can fit the theme of any home. If our campaign is successful, we will send out a survey to our backers to decide the first few Wall Garden styles!

The Team
The team at Living Art LLC is a group of college friends who all studied engineering at Worcester Polytechnic Institute.
David Liston (photo right) is the inventor of The Wall Garden and has always had a passion for growing plants. While living alone in a single bedroom apartment with no windows in Boston, MA the idea for The Wall Garden came to him. He has a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Management Engineering.
Omri Flaisher (photo center right) focuses on marketing and sales. His mother has her own glass art business, Sand and Water Creations in Glass, and has acquired various marketing and business development skills from those experiences. He has a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Science in Material Science and Engineering.
Anthony Hassan (photo center left) is the design engineer for the team. He creates all of the computer models and works with the entire team to design and develop The Wall Garden. He has a Bachelors and Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Andrew Turgeon (photo left) is the team builder. He has an array of skill-sets when it comes to product development and manufacturing. Every Wall Garden ever created was primarily hand-built by Andrew. He has a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters of Science in Material Science and Engineering.

Riesgos y desafíos
With any project there are risks and challenges. We are happy to have identified the risks and challenges we may encounter so that if they do occur, we can tackle them head on.
We must assure high germination and growth success rates for our customers through systematic sprouting and longevity testing.
We need to further identify plant type compatibility through research and development in light cycle, pH levels, grow medias, and nutrient requirements.
We need to verify the longevity of our pumps as to minimize replacements through life cycle testing and qualification.
To allow for future customization in terms of size and shape, we are developing a modular unit design for manufacturability.
We need to finalize sustainable supply chains which we are discussing with various vendors.
We are working with various shipping companies to guarentee rapid and reliable distribution.
