No gamer would call the arena PvP portions of World of Warcraft or Guild wars an MMORPG if they were released as stand alone games, yet that is the exact type of thing RTS players have had to settle for, for years. We have been led to believe that the massive portion of MMO stands for many players, when in fact it was always meant to refer to the size of the world.

Saga Kingdoms expands on the principles established by it’s predecessor SAGA, that a true MMORTS should have a rich storyline, a massive world to explore, and quests that players can discover and cooperate to overcome. Any MMORTS missing any of these key feature should be referred to as a MO.

We want players to enjoy not just the battle and strategy portions, but also the history of this amazing world. As some of you may already know from the Tokyo game show, there was even a movie filmed about the Saga Universe. Lets get some comments up in here.

Lets get some comments up in here. Let us know your dream features for an MMORTS.

      That would be AWESOME!

We actually have some exciting plans for guilds, as well as the long anticipated map conquest features. Right now we're thinking continuous rewards for holding locations on the main map.

Yes, online features shouldn't be limited to arenas, but I don't think quests were enough in the original Saga. I think huge, faction-based events, like in EndWar, where players go head-to-head in battles of up to 4v4 (if possible) would be great. They could be tied into the storyline and have some small prize at the end of each week for the faction with the highest win percentage. Plus, they'd make guilds more useful and the increased faction rivalry could heighten interest in the game.
