Macrocosm is a 28mm Sci-Fi Skirmish game set in a future galaxy of excitement, rayguns, weird aliens and wonder.
Who are we?
We are a small company based in Tewkesbury in the UK. We set up this year with the goal of bringing a retro style of miniatures to your tabletop.
We currently have 2 full ranges of lovely sculpted miniatures to choose from (and free rules on our website here) The Malignancy and The Digger Corps.

Whats the plan?
The 3rd Race
The main goal for the 3rd Race is to fund the basic army which comprises of mechanical suits on 50mm bases .
Once this level is achieved we have planned out several more stretch goals to really fill out the range into a full force. We have already started sculpting this project.......
Who are the 3rd Race? As yet no one knows, they use mechanical suits of unknown manufacture. There has never been a living entity captured on the battlefield. Intelligence suggests these suits are being controlled by craft in orbit of the colonies as any suits that have been knocked out to date do not have any pilots in them.
Who are the 4th Race?
The Grem Alliance!
The Grem Alliance are a race of 3 different creatures who used to be slaves. These 3 banded together to overthrow their evil slave masters centuries ago, and since then have grown in size and intelligence. They are very militaristic and expansionist. Their main industry is War.
The Basic Trooper is supported on the battle field by its distant cousins the Dire Grem and the Gremlings, whilst not exactly as evolved as the Grem are they still have found important roles in the Grem society.

This pledge level has been created for all you fans who want to show your support for us, but maybe don't fancy the 2 new races......Or maybe one will be your 2nd army waiting to be started....

Introducing the Colony Defense Force
The human colonists have long since been forced to fend for themselves. Earth contact abruptly ceased almost simultaneously throughout the colonies several decades ago. Several expeditions were sent over the next few years to re-establish a link with Earth, but no ship has ever returned. Almost all abruptly stopped commutating at the edge of the home system. Since then, nothing but the moaning static of empty space has greeted the increasingly infrequent hails to home. Even more alarmingly, several of the Unknown’s remains that have been gathered for study were found to be wearing suits and carrying gear not seen on any of the colonies. Fears for what may have happened on Earth grow, but it has been years since the resources could be spared to probe further into the mystery.
Now the colonies must look to their own defence.
Each colony was originally governed by a peace keeping force, the Colonial Defence Corps, who took orders directly from Earth command. Since the cut, as it has become known, these authorities have had to look to their own officers for leadership. Councils were quickly formed, some taking in prominent civilian leaders from the general population, others not. Over time, as colonies moved from centralised rule, their societies began to diverge from each other. Federations sprang up, connected several colonies. Some, such as the Confederated Colonial Authority (the CCA) have become strict, almost totalitarian, where the rule of law is taken to extremes and the CDC is well armed and equipped. Others have taken a more moderate view, even allowing Ogs and Diggers to settle, grateful of the extra muscle when dealing with the rising threat of the Malignancy. There are some colonies where the transition did not go as well, where the local CDC were corrupted or overthrown. These anarchic societies mostly destroyed themselves, but some have survived, their inhabitants now not much more than lawless pirates. These rogue settlements send ships to raid the space lanes and are a constant plague on rest of the colonies.
Must worrying of all, several colonies have gone dark, chillingly reminiscent of the silence from Earth. Fearful of losing more ships, no attempt has been yet made to investigate these silent worlds and they have been declared no-go areas.
Recently this policy has been called into question after the encounter with the Reverence by a CCA long range patrol ship. The Reverence was a bulk carrier from Hurol, one of the no-go worlds, on record as home to some five million. Evidence of a recent and horrific fire fight was discovered onboard, but not a single body. News of this discovery spread like wildfire, and tension in the colonies has been reaching fever pitch. It seems whatever calamity befell Earth has finally reached them, and if Earth could not prevail, what chances do the colonies have?
Why back us?
We feel that these miniatures will appeal to gamers across all the Sci-Fi games out there. You could use them for Macrocosm, for skirmish games or other large scale games. We would love to see them on the table!
If we hit our funding goal we will look at making the components of the new armies available individually to add to your pledge.
All miniatures are supplied unassembled and unpainted.
1. £3500 - If we reach this level we will create the Battle Suit MKII. This will be a heavy weapon variant of the main suit, armed with missile pods and a heavy duty rail cannon. We will add one of these to the £100 3rd Race pledge level. We will also make it available as an add on.
2. £4000 - At this level we will include a free Grem Medic and Heavy Weapons Trooper to all Grem pledge levels. We will add a set to each Grem Platoon in the £50 and £100 pledge levels in addition to this. *example 3 sets for the £50 pledge and 5 at the £100 pledge...........
Lets also add another Digger Boss to each £50 Digger pledge......... And how about a unreleased Infested Thug to the Malignancy £50 pledge as a thank you.....
3. £4500 - At this level we will produce Infected Diggers. This will be a Squad of 5 Diggers for use with the Malignancy. 4 Infested and 1 Malformed. We will add these to the Add ons......... and the Malformed one to the £50 pledge of the Malignancy.
We will also add a Digger Dozer Suit to the Digger £50 pledge 2 more Grem troopers to the £50 Grem Pledge (5 to the £100) and a set of additional weapons to the 3rd Race Pledge of £50 and £100.
4. £5000 - At this level we will produce a unit of 5 Digger Commandos. These Diggers range ahead of the main troops scouting out objectives. Lightly armored they prefer to go without helmets which shows of their often unique hair styles. They are armed with a variety of close assault weapons which include their trusty surveyors pickaxe..... If we fund this level we will add a squad of 5 to the Add ons section and add a random one to all Digger corps £50 pledges.
If we reach this amount we will add 1 to each £30 3rd race pledge, 3 to each £50 3rd Race pledge and 6 to the £100 Pledge and add them to the Add on section.
If we hit this funding goal we will add the Jetbikes to the add ons at a discounted rate compared to rrp.

We will be starting off this race with the Tala Riders and looking to see where we can grow it from there.
If we pass this goal we will add them to the add on section for £7.50 each or 3 for £20.
If we hit this level we will add a Tankette to the add ons section.
The commander of the Undead faction. We will produce this miniature and add it to the add ons section......
We have a lot more to come if we reach our stretch goals, terrifying creatures that haunt the edges of the galaxy, noble immortals that wage war atop giant lizards, specialists and war machines for existing factions and a few surprises...
Can't decide and want more than 1 faction?
If you wanted to back say The Grem Platoon level and the 3rd Race Starter pick one (the higher level one in this case either as they are the same cost ) and up your pledge to £60 plus postage (one set of postage will be applied and it will be that of the higher value pledge level). If you chose a level that gets stretch goals you will receive all the corresponding unlocked goals that should be added to that level.
*If you add a pledge level that ships sooner then you will need to pay the postage rate for that pledge as we wouldn't want to delay it till February.

Digger Quads £25 for 3 Quads or £10 each (1 commander and 1 Grunt variations)
Undead Will be shipped with Grem and 3rd Race pledges, Will be shipped in 2nd wave with Diggers and Malignancy pledges. They are all different sculpts.....
Risks and challenges
Having already launched the game and 2 full armies I am aware of some of the main causes for delays.
Delays in sculpting and delays in mould making/Casting. There is also a period of time where you 'learn' the moulds.
I have a great team of people signed up to help take on this project. We have developed excellent communication lines between us and I hope to be able to manage any issues that arrive because of this.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
