Star Trek: New Voyages is the longest running Star Trek fan film, just having celebrated its 13th anniversary. Today, having meticulously recreated many of the sets from the original blueprints, elevation prints and research, we're working on taking the Enterprise, Kirk and Crew into the future, finishing years 4 and 5 of their historic 5 year mission and bridging the gap to "Star Trek The Motion Picture"!
With your help, we plan to continue the voyages of the Starship Enterprise to journey to all the undiscovered countries, where no one has gone before!
Episodes Released to Date:
- Center Seat (Vignette)
- Going Boldly (Vignette)
- In Harm's Way

- World Enough and Time (Special guest star George Takei)

- The Child (Written by Jon Povill)
THE VISUAL EFFECTS OF NEW VOYAGES
Star Trek: Phase II has the amazing talents of Tobias Richter, one of the top Visual Effects artists in the world. What you have seen in our videos is all Tobias and his company, The Light Works. We are lucky to get to work with this wizard time and time again. Tobias and The Light Works are already gearing up for the VFX needed for our next episode!
THE HOLIEST THING
The Holiest Thing is our latest episode and will feature the story of how Captain Kirk met Carol Marcus. It co-stars Jacy King as Carol Marcus and features Brian Gross as Captain Kirk. Due to your generous help with our last funding campaign, this episode will be released later this summer!
TORMENT OF DESTINY
This July, we film our next episode, "Torment of Destiny"! Besides being an ambitious episode, we will be filming on location, as well as on a variety of brand new sets to be built just for this episode. In addition to location costs and new sets, there's of course the normal costs associated with making an episode. Like "Mind-Sifter", with our new post production processes and team in place, we expect, with your generous help, "Torment of Destiny" to be released in short order, with no shortcuts taken.
AFTER "Torment of Destiny", we already have the next three episodes in some stage of scripting (and dozens more offered by some of the best writers in the Trek world). We are planning on filming and finishing them (and many more) as quickly as you allow. With your help, we can push episodes out at a much faster pace, while not sacrificing in story or quality.
As always, we want to give you great perks for your donations. We know there were some unforeseeable delays in perk delivery last time due to issues beyond our control. But, we learned from our mistakes, and not only are our perks better this round, but our perk delivery will be as promised! With many exciting new digital perks to offer and some incredible one of a kind experiences, fan memorabilia, and items, we really stepped up our game!
WHERE THE MONEY GOES
Generally, campaigns get about 80% of the total money raised. 10% goes to Kickstarter and Amazon payment processing fees. Another 10% we have budgeted for Perks (the gifts you earn at different donation levels). So basically we get 80% to spend on Star Trek: New Voyages.
We set the initial Kickstarter bar low at $20,000. So, here are our goals and what you will be helping us with.
- FIRST GOAL: $20,000
$20,000 covers the basic costs (very basic) of our July 2015 Shoot, such as electricity, equipment rental and other filming expenses. So, making our base goal allows us to cover our basic expenses, and leaves covering the rest of the shoot expenses up to our production team.
- $50,000 STRETCH GOAL
With your help in reaching this goal, the rest of our expenses for our July 2015 "Torment of Destiny" shoot will be met, and this will also allow us the funding necessary to complete more of our standing sets including realize a fully completed Medical office/Lab and Exam Room! So Please help the good Doctor McCoy get his digs!
- $75,000 STRETCH GOAL
One of the most time consuming tasks in making episodes is "lighting the future" - because we have a limited amount of lighting equipment, only one to two sets can be lit at a time. We've already planned and designed an entire lighting grid and lighting plan for our sets, and, with your help, we can see our dream of implementing it realized! That will cut each episode's needed filming time down by over a third!
- $125,000 STRETCH GOAL
Making this stretch goal will help us cover the expenses of our next episode! That means one more "Original Series Trek" story for all of you!
- $150,000 STRETCH GOAL
We have the ENTIRE Desilu sets planned for our facility. While we've made great progress on our own, with your help, we can finish ALL of the standing sets used in "The Original Series"!!!
- $200,000 STRETCH GOAL
Once we meet this goal, we're off to planning another episode! That's three episodes in total: Torment of Destiny, and two more after that!! And of course, it doesn't end there! Each $50,000 above this stretch goal translates into roughly one more episode!
