Progress Update

Posted by Cole Wehrle (Collaborator)

Hi folks,

Progress on Vast: TMM continues apace. Patrick completed all of the principle design for the game in August and the game has now entered final development. We're playing the game as much as we can and hammering out balance and usability issues.

As you can see, we've been moving some of the information around in the design to really make the game as approachable as possible without losing any of the strategic depth. (Also, don't worry, the Paladin's grit track is still a thing, it's just likely getting moved to a sweet dial!)

By mid-October, we're hoping to have a near-final version of the game that we can share with everyone. Once that's out in the wild, we'll start assembling the production files for the game. Baring the need for any further development, we should have this at the factory by December and have the game in our warehouse by March or April.

In short, as far as the design goes, so far, so good.

In terms of physical production, our sculptor has just finished the last few miniatures and are in the process of nailing down the scale of the remaining miniatures.

At this point, most of the sculpts have been sent off to our partner in China for tooling. We send things along a few months in advance of the printed material because they require, by far, the most lead-time and we don't want them to delay the project.

That's all for now!

Have you considered paper character boards instead of cardboard, as the boards for Root have common warping issues?

Looking good Cole. The use of dials will be nice, anything that speeds up setup and tear down is great.

@Zoidberg & Pedro: T:CC for Manor backers are on their way to Germany for fulfilment as per a comment by Caryl Tan.

I know a large amount had been shipped out, not sure on your locations but that could affect shipping. They had tried getting them shipped out before GenCon, but I know there was timing issues. Also it might have depended on when or if you completed the pledge manager.

I agree they should have sent out an update about this specifically. It's possible you can message or email their support to inquire about it.

I'm pretty bummed to learn nothing about the Crystal Caverns sending...

@Dan, We should have rules in a little less than a month that we can share.

@Michael, For recessed boards, they probably won't be needed where we are going. The dials take care of most of the tracking.

Great job guys. the sculptures look great and we are delighted that the balance issues that might be there are being looked at. A nice timely update

Very nice update. The mini sculpts look great. It's funny, the one poltergeist and wall look almost like glow in the dark material. It would be fun if they actually were!

Nice update and cool re Paladin dial. Just wanted to say if you or you approve someone else to create anti-knock sheets for those player boards I'd buy those. I definitely prefer recessed boards but for some reason those seem difficult to produce. Just letting you know I'd buy either ha.

Is there an update to the rules we can look at?
