In September of 2012 I traveled to the Midwest and spent two full days photographing Detroit.
I was amazed by the photographic opportunities there but distressed by the clear economic hardships of the residents, particularly those of the youth of the city. As a a result I have decided to start this Kickstarter funded project to get back there in February of 2013 and to do a guided tour with Detroiturbex which will hopefully allow me to see and shoot more interiors of this exciting and astonishing city.
In return for your donation to this project and as a thank you you would receive an image from the trip (or of any of the 12,500 photographs at flickr!) In line with your donation.
If you would like to know more about me please check out my website at www.philrosephoto.com.
Thanks so much!
Risks and challenges
To be honest, this is a pretty low risk endeavor. While Detroit is a city with challenges and even dangers I know the risks and am preparing myself with professional guides who will help me to overcome those and to find the best way to portray the vibrant urban life there. After the event only mechanical camera or computer failure can stop me!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
