The $5 perk is a digital copy of Chapter One, a 22 page comic. The $ 10 perk is a digital copy of the whole four chapter book. Everything above those levels includes those two things, but we’re talking about real, tangible, three-dimensional trade paperback books made out of paper. Right here in the Good Old USA.
This is a common misperception. Kevin sold off his financial interest in the Turtles over two decades ago. Twenty whole years and change. He hasn’t received any ownership/residual income from Turtles-related projects or products in all that time.
Kevin started in indie comics and this is a way to go back to his roots. The first Turtles comic was published with a loan from a relative. This is a cooler way to do that, and involve the fans directly.
DRAWING BLOOD is an “all or nothing” project. It will only be funded if it reaches its goal by the time the campaign ends. “All or nothing” projects don’t charge your card/account until the campaign has ended so that the creators don’t have to refund your money if they miss their goal. So you’ll be charged sometime after Thursday, August 31st 2017 after 11:00 AM PDT.
At the moment, we don’t have a publisher lined up or any plans to print it beyond the Kickstarter campaign. But should the project get picked up we guarantee that any later printings will have different covers and different formats from what we’re offering here. These exact versions will never be available again.
There’s a whole lot more to tell about Shane Bookman, and with your help we’re looking forward to telling it all. DRAWING BLOOD VOLUME ONE is just the beginning. And we haven't even begun to tell you about the Radically Rearranged Ronin Ragdolls….
