I used to think that it could never be better than the first time.
But that was so many years ago.
Now I know that every time we come together, it gets so much better. And so now it’s time to ask you, the listener or the fan or the vinyl enthusiast, to come with me on the journey to find…no, to create 7 Inches & Other Delights.
It’s time again to make things the best they can be. I know, we ask ourselves all the time just how these records keep getting better and better when the last one was the most perfect record ever.
But I know why. It’s because we do it together. So let’s do it again.
And this time, it’s 7 Inches & Other Delights!
What other delights could we even be talking about? More than we even know about right now!
Let’s start with the embiggening of the Bubbles in the Think Tank Stable of Stars!
For this year’s record about records for Record Store Day, we’ll be bringing you a fine array of Think Tank Favorites…B’s Knees even! Prepare yourself for:
Richard X. Heyman of the Doughboys
Jake Jacobs of the Magicians, Bunky & Jake and Jake & the Family Jewels
Chris Ligon Clang! recording artist and Chicago songwriter
Ed “Moose” Savage the Boston legend!
More artists are waiting in the wings to bring you more eye candy to keep you coming to this package over and over.
But I talk to you like you know what I’m talking about. I’ve been accused of the inside game before, but it’s only because I know how smart you are. Yes, flattery still gets you everywhere at Bubbles in the Think Tank.
This is year #3 of Bubbles in the Think Tank presenting a record about record for Record Store Day. It’s made us happy, it’s made you happy (or at least others similar to you), and it’s been sillier than we could have imagined.
I mean how could these not make you happy?
First, Ray Mason with the tune that started it all from the Petite 7 Inch Record:
Then, to open Eponymously Entitled, it was the Catbirds:
And there were so many more!
The thing is, though, that we can’t do it without you. You know it’s all about love at Bubbles in the Think Tank. Sometimes we just need for you to demonstrate that love in very concrete ways. This is one of those times.
We need at least 50 people to show the love to help us make this record. Those of you who’ve done it before know exactly how worth it this project is. Maybe you should even post a comment…just a suggestion.
You’ll get great music and silliness, tons of love, and probably the prettiest package we can give you. But you know it’s all about the love, so that’s really the best part.
So with that kind of love, we’re now asking you to help us make this record. We’re asking for just enough money to pay Furnace MFG for production and still lose money. Because that’s really the only way to make a record, right? But hey...if we do manage to make it all back this time, half of all proceeds will go to the radio station that makes it all possible, WMFO.
Just remember, it's nice to be nice when you know that you're nice.
As we told you last year (and we still mean it):
We want you to be a part of this project, not just to buy a record. Bubbles in the Think Tank is always what the listeners make of it. We're here to provide that firm guiding hand to help you find the way.
Thanks again for all your support in so many ways over the years. We love you all.

Risks and challenges
Boy, did we learn a lot from making the Petite 7 Inch Record and Eponymously Entitled!
This year, we know better about so many things...from shipping to printing...we'll be ready. We've yet to experience delays and see no reason it would happen this year. We even had a terrorist attack last year, but we still pulled it off!
The biggest hurdle is pure cash. Without the funding, there is no way we can do this again. If you saw the last one, you know the artists loved it, the record stores loved it and the listeners loved it.
What's not to love? Not making another!
