XS Pocket Fountain Pen
The XS is a fountain pen designed with mobility in mind. It is a super compact writing instrument that grows into a regular size pen when the cap is placed on its back. When closed, it is one of the smallest fountain pens in the world which makes it ideal for everyday carry (EDC). The cap is secured by o-rings that allow a super fast uncapping for quickly writing down your ideas.
The XS is a twelve-sided pen machined from solid blocks of aluminum and brass. The 12 facets prevent the body from rolling down your desk. It uses standard international ink cartridges which are available everywhere worldwide.

We have received several requests for an optional clip. We are glad to let you know that we have designed it and we will offer it as an add-on ($5) during the survey at the end of the campaign. This is a slide-in design so you have the option to use your pen with or without clip. We want to offer the clip in the same finishes as the pen but need to test some production pieces before making a decision- we will keep everyone updated on that.
Risks and challenges
ēnsso is a design brand established in 2014 in Los Angeles, California. We innovate through the exploration of new aesthetics, materials, and fabrication processes. The studio has been awarded the Red Dot Design Award, the Good Design Award and the ICFF Award. In addition, our designs have been included in the collection of the Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design and the San Francisco Museum of Craft and Design.
During the last 3 years we have successfully completed 5 Kickstarter projects and we have learned a lot from these experiences. We are aware that providers and manufacturers can have delays and we are carefully accounting for it in our schedule.
At this stage, we have fully developed prototypes and all suppliers and manufacturers are lined up. Our biggest challenge is to achieve our funding goal that will allow us to start mass production and deliver to everyone involved a fantastic product at a great price.
Thank you so much for your support!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
