Metal Made Flesh is a cyberpunk space opera that has been likened to "Bladerunner meets Game of Thrones."
Chased to the brink of extinction, Humanity is forced to take refuge in Tuaoni, a sprawling city on the black market trading hub Equan Yas. Reduced to extreme poverty, and treated as second class citizens by the planet’s inhabitants, humans must fight to survive.
The series centres on three main characters, the cold, merciless cyborg Izobel Vice who loses more of her humanity with each passing upgrade; the psychopathic assassin Phaeon Nex, and Kalibos, a hideous mutant war machine. Book One was released in 2014, and Book two's first edition was successfully Kickstarted in 2015.
Vengeance is the third in the series, centering on Phaeon Nex's quest for revenge. It's also the first story where all three main characters are in the same storyline.
Vengeance features artwork and two stories from series creator Simeon Aston, and series regular Phil Buckenham. It also features one story from fellow Heavy Metal artist Vittorio Astone. If we hit the stretch goals we'll also have work from Josan Gonzalez (The future) and Hector Trunnec (Midnight Persons).
Dependant on stretch goals, Vengeance will feature between 4-6 stories from writers such as 2000AD's TC Eglinton (Judge Dredd, Outlier), Peter Cooper (Telikos Protocol, Drone) and Cy Dethan (Starship Troopers). Main series writer Jeremy Biggs will also be returning for 3 stories.
Stretch Goal Updates!
25/11/16 - we've reached our first stretch goal! Metal Made Flesh will add a brand new story from Cy Dethan and Hector Trunnec! A huge thank you from the whole team!!!
