This project was successfully funded on September 7, 2012.
Today Tracy and I (Jesy) went to pick up a ton of items to bring to the store, I started my day out by painting a logo on a floor in the farmers market (yay commission pieces!) from 9-130, then we got moving.
We picked up more awesome donations from the community, a super awesome cutting table! Some interfacing and fabrics! Then went to Lowes and picked up our shelves (4 of about 11) then picked up spray paint, we wanted our fixtures that we purchased second hand to have new life.
We also were able to snag a piece from my basement that is an old vintage piece I have had for years, but it wasn't being used. So we sanded it down and painted it. And all the fixutures.
Tomorrow, Tracy and I are going picking, American Pickers style! Trying to find some more local items for the shop, we are trying to buy as much local as we can. If we have to go to big box stores, it will be at a minimum since we are trying to support who we love, our community.
We have been blessed with so much kindness, donations (monetary and items)... we are really humbled by all the support and hope to make you all proud!
Here are a few pictures from our day!
