UPDATE: Many changes to Rewards, including New International Options. Scroll down for details...
Welcome to the OMEGAZONE
We call it the World Before. Where all the destruction and mayhem called the Omega Wars originated. Nowadays, fighting to survive is just a way of life.
Jussabout' everything here is touched by some kinda weirdness, msself included. No clue why, but when you grow up with it, you don't notice it so much. It's just the way things are. But they haven't always been. There are leftovers here from the Omega Wars against the Kreen. I read about them in a pamphlet that managed not to get isself burned.
That's how I know everything's changed…
What is this?
OMEGAZONE is an Instant Setting for the Fate Accelerated roleplaying game. The 54 card deck contains all the ingredients you need for adventure. It's just waiting for you to fill in the details.
Adventure generation is just as easy. Included are pre-built locations with NPC faces and potential allies/antagonists, and a adventure hook generator to jumpstart a plot.
OMEGAZONE is inspired by games like Gamma World and Enslaved: Journey to the West; cartoons like Thundarr the Barbarian; books like Conan the Barbarian, A Canticle for Liebowitz, Remnant Population, and The World Without Us; and movies like Escape from L.A., Mad Max, and Six-String Samurai. What I love about adventures set in these kinds of worlds is that the Monstrous becomes familiar, and you get to be them or unite with them to face some other kind of threat. Whether that's leftover robots in a nature-reclaimed ruin of a city, or just helping defend an outpost of gasoline-makers against The Humungus, there's always new adventure to be had.
What's it going to look like?
Yi-Ting Anderson will be drawing weird mutant creatures, post apocalyptic landscapes, and bizarre alien technology in an anime-influenced style.

What is Fate Accelerated?
Fate Accelerated is a fast, awesome roleplaying game system that is ideally suited to narrative play. It focuses how you go about doing things, rather than extensive skill lists making it perfect for evoking whatever shenanigans you might want to get up to in the OMEGAZONE.
OMEGAZONE will be a licensed Fate product.

How is the Money Going to be Spent?
Making cards isn't necessarily that expensive. Making cards look nice, is. If you're doing the math, I'm coming in at more than $5,500. I'm not asking for all of the risk to be shouldered by you, the backers. I'm prepared to be responsible for everything above and beyond these basic costs, such as higher production unit costs, higher shipping costs, some portion of the rewards, and unforeseen art expenses. The fiction writing is being paid on a patronage fee-scale with a guaranteed minimum.
What are the Rewards?
* If you back for a physical reward, you also get a digital copy of everything but the sticker sheet.
International Shipping for physical rewards is now available in a group package of 10 units. But if you really really really want to pay the $25+ international shipping fees for a physical copy, we can work something out. Message me here to give me a heads-up.
New Expanded Add-Ons Section
"Ghost Pirates" is my previously successful Kickstarter project and includes with a new Promo Captain that will be available here first. If you already own a copy of Ghost Pirates, just ask for the new promo captain!

Risks and challenges
As a publisher, I've already successfully brought one game to market worldwide. The scale of this project is aimed at digital fulfillment and small domestic print run / print-on-demand levels and so the bulk of the money requested is going towards art costs. To that end, I have worked with several print-on-demand houses on prior occasion. In the event that interest is wonderfully large and it makes sense to scale up, I have experience doing print buys and have already started collecting quotes from a printers that I have either worked with before, or that come with good references, to do significantly larger print runs.
Any stretch goals that may be offered will not affect the production cycle of the intended product. They are likely to be secondary supplemental products such as additional fiction from the OmegaZone setting, pre-generated aspect cards, maps, alternative game rules, or other digital products.
My biggest concern going into this is providing for international backers. Honestly, customs forms suck and it costs me a ton of extra time and you an extra ton of money. My best answer to that is purchase a PDF and print it out yourself. Alternately, I'll be setting the game up with print-on-demand distributors once the campaign is complete and I'd be happy to point you towards those options when they become available.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
