In the year 2069, what has been uncovered in secret archaeological digs, transpiring over the last 50 years is going to rock the foundation of what we all believe. The remains of heroes, villains, monsters and creatures, that have long been believed to be myth or legend have been found. The remains have been used to create clones. These clones are caged, retrained and forced to fight in the most brutal sport in the world, the "Xtreme Champion Tournament". This has become the most watched sport in history, and sees cloned fighters pitted against each other, as well as well known mythical creatures, for entertainment purposes.
In issue #4 everything is about to come to a head. The fans want to see Baykok Vs. Spartacus in the arena, Oscar Keenan wants more money and Lozen want's her revenge. Will she get it or has Spartacus finally met his match?

We have tried to think "outside the box" when it comes to incentives and to try and entice new backers of the series for this campaign and we think we have come up with some awesome ideas. Firstly, we have been lucky enough to have Spartacus (Liam McIntyre from the Starz series), Crixus (Manu Bennett from the Starz series) and Agron (Dan Feuerriegel from the Starz Series) do a signing for us to promote and support this campaign. Some of the items signed include a small amount of comics of Issues #0, #1 and #2.
Below are some images of Liam McIntyre, Manu Bennett and Dan Feuerriegel and the rest of the cast from the STARZ series "Spartacus". They are signing, reading, providing selfies and literally trying to get their hands on XCT. The actors have been extremely supportive of the series and are right behind this next issue!
The next set of rewards include digital copies of the latest issue as well as a special deal for all past issues, all 5 issues at a steal of only $15. We also have our standard and incentive cover printed copies with a deal for those early bird backers.
Grab a deal with our latest issue and our exclusive Kickstarter All Over Print T-Shirt of the incentive cover. These are limited so be quick before they are all gone!
Some other rewards we have included are, having your own likeness in the next issue.
We have the Ultimate and VIP XCT deals. Giving a small amount of fans a chance to own every different copy and version of XCT, the exclusive T-Shirt, an original page from the series drawn by Jerry, PDF copies and limited edition prints. A great way to expand your collection and grab everything on offer!
Finally we have a great opportunity for a few fans where they can work with me (Shaun Paulet) the creator of the series to have a 10 page short story created on either them self, a family member, or a hero/villain that isn't already in the series/universe. This reward includes the story being fully illustrated, a printed version in whatever collection it is printed in and all the other rewards form the VIP XCT deal. Checkout the reward teir on the left to find out more!
Included in our stretch goals are THREE benchmarks: $3,000, $4,000 & $5,000. Hitting these goals will allows us to reward backers with additional items and increase the size of the current issue with a short story from the XCT universe. Also if we get to $10,000 we will have an awesome reward for everyone but news on that to come.

Myself (Shaun Paulet) creator/editor of the XCT universe and general story line. I have been working on the XCT universe over the past 5 years and am currently working on a second title Sci-Fi title called Terralympus.
Brendan Halyday is an great Australian talent that specializes in illustrating, design and writing and has done an awesome job scripting this book as well as providing all the polish.
Jerry Gaylord has burst onto the scene with Fanboys Vs Zombies, Bill & Teds Triumphant Return and Loki:Ragnarok and Roll by BOOM! Studios. We are super lucky to have Jerry on board this project with his super tight pencils and great action scenes. Jerry was also nominated for the Harvey Award for best new talent, so you know his artwork is going to rock.
Penny Gaylord has done a great job inking this issue and has worked on books such as Fanboys Vs Zombies, Loki:Ragnarok and Roll and Soulfire. She is a proud member of the Identity Comics Studio team and does a lot to promote women in comics.
Wilson Go has jumped on the book to do colours for this issue and has done a fantastic job in making all the characters jump right off the page and hit you in the face.
Risks and challenges
The delivery date for almost all rewards will be in early July of 2017. After the campaign is over, I'll be keeping everyone up to date on the printing schedules for the book and all the rewards as we go along.
With the pencil, ink and colour illustrations already done, all that's left is the lettering and design/layout work for the interior of the book. The turnaround on printing for the books is about 2-3 weeks and will be done during this campaign, once received packing and shipping all those cool rewards will take about 2-4 weeks to action.
You know how nothing in life EVER goes perfectly smooth, right? Well, just to give you all a heads up, if there are shipment schedule issues or challenges with the printers, or those pesky day-to-day challenges, I know how to stick it out, get the work done, make it look great and meet those deadlines! I have done it before and will do it again!!
I believe that transparency is key in a venture like this, so again, I'll be keeping everyone informed as we make our way through this fun project. Thanks for all your support.
