The SoundScape Trio will tour Bolivia December 2012 - January 2013. The ensemble will perform in the cities of Cochabamba and Sucre, and the small colonial town of Totora.
After successful performances in the United States throughout the 2011-2012 concert season, this group of energetic, young musicians has been invited to share their work in Bolivia, home country of their cellist.
In the words of cellist, Pablo Issa Skaric, "Bolivia is a country thirsty for music, with many talented and hard working aspiring young musicians. Many different artistic and musical projects are blooming nowadays, and we hope to both inspire developing musicians, share a new perspective on great repertoire, and collaborate with some of Bolivia's great artists."
While in Bolivia, the trio also plans to present masterclasses and workshops to students of flute, cello, piano, and chamber music.

Risks and challenges
Traveling to a new country can be an intimidating experience simply because of the language barrier and culture shock. We hope to communicate just as effectively to audiences and students (in masterclass form) who speak a different language and have had different musical experiences and backgrounds.
Mary and Josh are overcoming this obstacle by studying Spanish with Pablo. Although the words we use might be basic, the global language of music and our willingness to learn will provide for an enriching concert and cultural experience.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
