Robot Street Fight!
Control a fighting Robot in a turn based skirmish battle, beat your friend with a toilet or throw him through a wall!
Robot Street Fight
The game is set in the near future where robots fight in everyday places using everyday items as weapons. The fights are filmed and streamed live on the internet for millions of viewers. The viewers decide who won the battle by voting for the player that caused who kept the fight exciting.
Players use items in the environment to destroy each other while using each other to destroy the environment. The player applies strategy to a mix of weapon use and professional wrestling type moves to wreck shop in the arena.
I believe this game is unique because it takes the strategy from mini war gaming and applies it to a single character with much more personal choices and decisions. This game is fun because in addition to trying to knock the other player(s) out you are trying to do it in the most exciting, flamboyant, destructive way possible. Another reason this game unique, fun and awesome is because of the extreme interaction between the players and the environment. If you throw someone through a wall place a "hole counter" there and now there is a hole in the wall you can walk through. There are also fun aspects like the snake in a tank, if the tank is destroyed the snake moves around randomly and bites anyone he touches. In the museum battle arena rough draft there are two civil war cannons that can be fired.
Players = 2-4
Ages = 13+
Gameplay time = 30min-1hr
Gameplay: All players pick a character who has a list of possible moves. Players roll for initiative. Whoever gets the highest initiative moves first, players can pick up items along the way. All items have statistics like "break off" the energy required to break a toilet out of ground or rip a door off the hinges, how far the item can be thrown, the damage the item does and the votes a player gets for using it. After only one player is standing the votes are tallied and a victor is declared!
What you will get with the physical copy of the game:
2 arena boards that will come in 4 pieces each (Arena 1. House, Arena 2. will be voted on by supporters)
A sturdy spacious game box
*You will be provided a link to a P.D.F. where you can print rules and extras*
Second combat arena ideas to vote from:
4.Alley with storefronts
As of now I will be hand crafting all physical copies of the game using high quality color prints affixed to foam board similar to my prototype. If there is enough support and I can make the numbers add up I will turn to professional printing. With enough support I may also turn to professional artist to redo box and instruction artwork and add some "fluff" to game.
Risks and challenges
I will be hand making the games. The main risks would be delays in pieces due to my supplier(s). The pieces I need are common so I will be able to easily change suppliers if necessary.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
