NIGHTMARE UNKNOWN begins its run with the tale “CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY”. Here we meet Lou, and Lou has been around for a long time.When he came crashing down to earth, mankind had yet to discover fire. Today, Lou roams Masson trying to keep himself hidden from two groups, one known as the Crypt and the other known as the Factory. The Crypt wants to put him to sleep for all eternity, since his sleep pattern brain waves influence humanity’s mental evolution; the Factory wants to cut him open and root around to see what makes Lou tick.Neither option seems very appealing to Lou.The tale takes an abrupt turn as Lou is abducted by a strange man with a steady aim. The man’s main goal: Sell Lou to the highest bidder—or at least, that’s what he says...Together with Illustrator Rob Dumo., writer James Maddox crafts a tale that spans centuries and cultures in this first tale;

As a series of episodic tales, Nightmare Unknown sets out to provide stories not often seen in the comics medium. While tales of suspense, action and danger are staples in the narrative selection we hope to provide our readers, audience shouldn’t be surprised to encounter tales of emotion and drama, as well.

In Nightmare Unknown, the city itself is the main focus of the series, enabling us with an enormous pool of tales to choose from. Each story arc will dive deeper into the life of one city resident, showing readers either how these characters came to exist in Masson City or with what deeds and dilemmas they’ve involved themselves since their arrival.

It is the hope of the creators that Nightmare Unknown raises the bar of what good, independent comics can become. With diverse interests and a special attention to detail and narrative, the creators of this series will bring this setting to life.

So prepare yourselves, dear readers, for tales of a different kind…
