The Antidote to the Splattered Stovetop
Cooking splatter—don’t you hate it? It’s a “dirty open secret”—never mentioned by celebrity chefs, never photographed in cookbooks or blogs, yet a constant aggravation for every experienced cook. Cleaning a bespattered stovetop can depress even the will to cook.
But a solution is at hand! Frywall keeps the sizzle in the pan and the mess off your stovetop. So you can enjoy cooking without facing the aftermath of spills and splatter on your range, counters, and nearby pots.
Unlike splatter screens, Frywall provides uninterrupted protection, even when adding, removing, or stirring ingredients. It completely stops fine oil mist that screens can't. It allows steam to escape, so meat browns perfectly. And it cleans up easily, never getting gunked up with sticky oil.
Where splatter screens merely take the edge off splatter, Frywall keeps your stovetop impeccable—without compromising cooking quality.

Supple, Yet Super Tough
Frywall is made of FDA-certified high-temperature silicone, the same material long used for bakeware. Like glass, it is composed primarily of silicon, an element that's practically inert. Frywall contains no BPAs, plastics, or toxins.
It's also incredibly tough, able to withstand sustained temperatures of up to 450°F (230°C). That's well above normal cooking temperatures or the smoke point of most oils. So you can cook as you normally would. Just avoid exposing Frywall to an open flame.
Frywall comes in two sizes. Frywall 10 fits pots and pans with inside rim diameters of 9 5/8- 10 1/2 inches (24.5cm - 27.0cm). Frywall 12 fits pots and pans with inside rim diameters of 11 5/8 - 12 1/2 inches (29.5cm - 32.0cm).
We need your help because the payment cycle for a startup consumer products company is daunting. Among the biggest challenges is the lag time between when suppliers are paid and when retailers get around to paying the makers. The cycle often lasts six months, spanning production time, shipping, sell-in, and final payment.
Our first production run is mostly funded with bootstrapped capital. With your help, we can bridge the final funding gap and continue manufacturing uninterrupted, something we couldn't do if solely reliant on retailers to complete the cash cycle.
Frywall will come in four colors: orange, green, red, and black. The earlier you pledge, the better the chances we'll be able to accommodate your color preference.
Additional Reward Combinations
We've tried to keep our rewards simple. Maybe too simple. So you might want a bundle not available above—say 2 Frywall 12s, or a dozen Frywall 10s for the holidays (they're great gifts come latke season).
This is what you can do. First, calculate your pledge amount by multiplying the number of Frywall 10s by $22 and the number of Frywall 12s by $29. If your shipping address is in the US, enter this amount into the "$50 or more pledge" option. Shipping will be free, and you'll have a chance to tell us the exact combination of sizes you want when we send our survey post-funding.
If your shipping address is outside the US, please select the $50 international option. Calculate the pledge amount as described above and add an additional $11 for every Frywall after the second. (Shipping costs for the first two Frywalls will be calculated automatically.)
Yes, it is really expensive! The rates you see reflect our actual costs, without adding anything for handling or packaging. The only exception is the $50 international reward, where we’re absorbing some of the shipping costs. When your reward arrives you may also be charged customs and duties by local authorities. This doesn’t always happen, but we’d rather avoid surprises.
Risks and challenges
Frywall has cleared all of its major design hurdles. Prototypes have been tested extensively. The first production molds are complete. Our manufacturing costs are stabilized. And we've initiated mass production and begun to established a manufacturing rhythm.
We think the risks to the project are very limited at this stage, though it's always possible delays could result from manufacturing disruptions, such as tool breakage or acts of nature. Depending on the success of this campaign, we may also face a learning curve in terms of logistics and fulfillment.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
