Good question! Short answer is, indeed, yes, there are lots of things happening with this project! Briefly, the Feasibility Study, which was what the Kickstarter campaign was launched to fund, has been ongoing and is about to be complete. We will have a draft at the event on Sunday and will also publish it soon, once the edits are made. Our consultant, HR&A Advisors, is the same firm that wrote the feasibility study and helped write the business and fundraising plans for the High Line in New York City. They are also the company that is studying and making recommendations to Buffalo Bayou Partnership for the East Sector Masterplan, in which we are excited to be a part!

The Feasibility Study is a bit of a road map for how we hope the project will take form. We are considering a number of sites along the banks of Buffalo Bayou and want to make sure we select the right site, create the right partnership(s), get the best input, and include the right amenities for the project.

There are many steps ahead – site selection, design, fund-raising, etc – but this stage is an exciting step in the process.

You’re welcome to come Sunday without donating another penny to the campaign! We are so appreciative for and value your help in getting this project off the ground. Even though it’s taken and will take time, it is moving forward and gaining real traction.

Is anything happening with this project anymore? A progress update would be nice prior to having an event like this. I don't want to contribute any more funds to a stalled project.
