      Hi Alex,
There certainly is. If any of my kickstarter backers would like a Steam copy of Power-Up Just drop me an email to and I'll reply with a Steam key just for you. ;)
As you might have heard, I'm now working full time but I should be in the office from Wednesday next week and you should expect your reply around lunchtime or early evening before the week is out.

    2. Alex Podgoredsky on August 30, 2014

Is there a chance to receive Steam copy of game?

    3. Psychotic Psoftware 2-time creator on March 11, 2014

Lol. No probs Andre. Incidentally, if for any reason, anybody else didn't find their copy of Power-Up in their inbox, drop me a line and I'll fix that quicksharp. ;)

    4. Alexandre MANGIN on March 8, 2014

Ignore my post, I found you mail! Sorry for the inconvenience. I am going to play this awsome game tonight!

    5. Alexandre MANGIN on March 8, 2014

The game is on Desura now, but I haven't received any key yet. How sad for a backer! :-(

    6. Leetcat on January 16, 2014

^_^ That would be awesome. I have friends with VMware and troubleshoot this problem just a bit more. Thanks! I voted! I hope greenlight happens soon.

    7. Psychotic Psoftware 2-time creator on January 16, 2014

Oh dear. Well at least we know that XNA games don't like VMWare. I'm guessing you don't have a PC bud... If that's the case, I'll be getting an iOS version out there later this year. Can I interest ya in a complimentary copy of that to make up?

    8. Leetcat on January 15, 2014

I have no luck getting the game running on VMware fusion.

    9. Psychotic Psoftware 2-time creator on January 14, 2014

Has the game been released? If so, how can I get my copy?! :D

    11. Psychotic Psoftware 2-time creator on January 10, 2014

      Hey Cat,

Interesting one that. I got something similar when I tried to run Power-Up on my 6 year old laptop. Turns out the graphics card was too old for XNA to cope with. I have a feeling that with XNA baing a particularly Microsoft thing, there's probably some kind of clash going on with the Mac graphics card.

Have you had any luck getting it working since?

    12. Leetcat on January 10, 2014

Mac book pro Retnia. 5100 Iris intel video card.
Does this game work with bootcamp?
I am trying to run the game in VMware fusion but I get the error:

      No suitable graphics card found.

Could not find a Direct3D device that supports the XNA framework HiDef profile.

Verify that a suitable graphics device is installed.

Make sure the Desktop is not locked, and that no other application is running in full screen mode.

Avoid running under Remote Desktop or as a Windows Service.

Check the display properties to make sure hardware acceleration is set to Full.

Hey bud. Recieved and replied to. Man! Thanks so much for the piece in Metro. I really enjoyed that! :D

    14. James Grealy on December 11, 2013

I've not met the walker yet but I do have the Jade Empress paint job so it's not for want of trying!

I just sent you an email with some feedback which you might find useful.

    15. Psychotic Psoftware 2-time creator on December 3, 2013

Brilliant!! Sounds like you're doing rather well James. Chuffed that you're getting into it! I know what you mean though, I was always a bit rubbish at shooters so I made Power-Up for about my skill level in the hopes that it might be a little more accessible to everybody.

Have you met the Walker yet?...

    16. James Grealy on December 2, 2013

I've got the Candycane paint job and made it as far as the Cityplex level. It challenging but not frustrating, which is good as I'm not that good at 2D shumps.

    17. Psychotic Psoftware 2-time creator on November 29, 2013

Brilliant! Thanks James. Great to hear that you're enjoying the game and that it's proving to be a challenge. Balancing the difficulty is a very tricky thing but I'm glad to know it's paying off and you're pushing onward into the game. Unlocked any paintjobs yet?...

    18. James Grealy on November 28, 2013

I got the PC version up and running. Really enjoying it so far, I've only reached the second boss (on medium difficulty) but the game plays really well.

Congratulations on a successful Kickstarter project.

    19. Alexandre MANGIN on September 19, 2013

We'll see that in a PM.

    20. Psychotic Psoftware 2-time creator on September 19, 2013

Thanks Alexandre. Glad you enjoyed it bud.
...and as for translations, I'll be looking into that if PowerUp makes me enough for it to be worthwhile. Looks like it'll be a while before Microsoft pay up tho. ;)

    21. Alexandre MANGIN on September 18, 2013

I just bought the game on XBox 360. What a blast! I war far above my expectations and I had an incredibly funny time with it. Thank you! I can't wait for the PC version.
I rehiterate my proposition to translate the game in French (I can do it in Japanese too).

    22. Psychotic Psoftware 2-time creator on September 5, 2013

      (*in them even). ;)

Check out those weekly Update Videos for the specifics, but yep. PowerUp finally passed Microsoft's peer testing process and will be hitting XBLIG on September 13th.

After that, the PC version is on track for late November, but if anything changes there I'll be sure to let you know if those weekly Video Updates.

    24. El Bachatero Monsi on September 5, 2013

Hello. So, we didn't see the game in August. Think it will be out by September? October?

    25. Psychotic Psoftware 2-time creator on July 18, 2013

Hiya, Looking good for that deadline. The really tricky bit is getting the PC-coded PowerUp ported to Xbox by late August, but I'm firing on all cylinders to get it done, then I'll focus on optimising the controls for PC too, which shouldn't take long. :)

    26. Leetcat on July 17, 2013

How is the schedule going? are you on track to finish Nov 13?

    27. Psychotic Psoftware 2-time creator on April 2, 2013

Cheers guys. Currently doing my best to make PowerUp as great as it can be. :)

    28. Alex Podgoredsky on March 31, 2013

Right! Time to get over myself and grab some breakkie before I crack on with the day eh.

      ...Just brilliant!!

    32. Antony Michael Kancidrowski on February 28, 2013

Happy Birthday Mike...I'd forgotten you'd mentioned this with all that was going on. Have a drink on me, as they say.

Nice to be stunned like that :) I'm made up for you man...well deserved.

    37. Psychotic Psoftware 2-time creator on February 28, 2013

Eric, Thanks so much man. Much appreciated, and I'm chuffed to have been your first Kickstart. :D

Thanks Pavel. Quite a few languages totting up now... You know, if It proves not to be worth my while in the immediate future with PowerUp, I still might consider it later down the line.

Antony! brilliant eh! To be honest, I'm actually rather stunned... In a good way, of course. :D
Better get those extra Weapon-F paint-jobs polished up eh. ;)

    38. Antony Michael Kancidrowski on February 28, 2013

Yeah! The 7K stretch goal has been achieved :)

    39. Pavel Sergeev on February 28, 2013

About translations, if you decide to implement them, I could translate this game in Russian.

    40. Eric Engdahl on February 27, 2013

Just pledged 7 pounds! This is my first time backing a project. I look forward to the game Mike! Good luck and keep us updated :)

    41. Psychotic Psoftware 2-time creator on February 27, 2013, I should really proof read before I send. :P

    42. Psychotic Psoftware 2-time creator on February 27, 2013

Good question Frederic. Unfortunatelt, the only version I've got control over the distribution of is the PC version (everyone else does it through digital downloads on their store) so I'm only able to add the PC one to the award tiers.
That said, it looks like we've hit the iOS and Android versions' stretch goals so all being well when the campaign ends, those versions will definitely be coming in the not too distant. Don't worry though. I'm going to try and keep the price around the £2 mark across all versions of the game.

Frederic Badin on February 27, 2013

      Congrats! Game looks great!

I don't have an Xbox and don't plan on getting one, so I'll be waiting for the PC version. By that, you mean Windows, or also Linux? Regardless, either/both is good.

What I'm really stoked about is the mobile (Android) version. But I noticed there's no pledge level(s) for it. Does that mean all backers get it, or am I being daft?

    44. Psychotic Psoftware 2-time creator on February 26, 2013

Lol. I should probably allow you a reduction at least. ;)

    45. Chris Denby on February 26, 2013

Can I have my money back then ?

    46. Psychotic Psoftware 2-time creator on February 26, 2013

Cheers Dave. There were some impressive SHMUPS on the PC-Engine. I'll try to do them some justice eh. ;)

    47. Psychotic Psoftware 2-time creator on February 26, 2013

Lol. Thanks chris. I'm really a Scouser, but I've been down here for a years now. ;)

    48. Chris Denby on February 25, 2013

Good luck, you must be dead chuffed you've hit your targets. My first kickstarter pledge, based on the fact your from Stoke! Fingers crossed for massive success!
