A prototype is a preliminary model of something. Projects that offer physical products need to show backers documentation of a working prototype. This gallery features photos, videos, and other visual documentation that will give backers a sense of what’s been accomplished so far and what’s left to do. Though the development process can vary for each project, these are the stages we typically see:
Proof of Concept
Explorations that test ideas and functionality.
Demonstrates the functionality of the final product, but looks different.
Looks like the final product, but is not functional.
Appearance and function match the final product, but is made with different manufacturing methods.
Appearance, function, and manufacturing methods match the final product.
eNNOTATE is the solution for collaborative learning
eNNOTATE is a collaborative e-annotation platform designed for learners. As of now, current platforms do not allow learners to read and work on texts collaboratively. Thus, the learner has to reach out to his friends through the use of another application such as Whatsapp or Facebook to clarify any doubts with regards to the text.
What are the features of eNNOTATE?
At eNNOTATE, we empower users to learn in their own desired manner. Users can use eNNOTATE to read a book, share insights or even work on assignments together.
eNNOTATE allows you to create or join 'chatrooms' where other users look to read, annotate and learn collaboratively. It is also possible for you to read privately and share your insights later. If there's nothing that interests you, simply click on the 'Read' button to return to your last read text.
Done collaborating? Use eNNOTATE to generate a summary of your annotations to help you revisit the text more efficiently.
Why are we asking for your help?
We are going to use the funds raised to develop our platform with the following deliverables:
• Provide a seamless user experience through an intuitive user interface for the eNNOTATE platform
• Further develop and ensure the functionality of all features in the annotation tool
• Create and continuously improve the smart-summary algorithm
We will put all our resources into building the eNNOTATE prototype into a full-fledged software product that can effectively serve the needs of users. All these deliverables will require time and financial costs such as server hosting will have to be incurred. We hope to bring to the community, a platform that is clean, user-friendly and successful at improving learning experiences.
Where We Are Now
We are working on the development of eNNOTATE to ensure that it will meet the expectations of our users.
We have an incredible team and we believe that we can make eNNOTATE possible to help students and learners worldwide. We feel that this project has great potential and only need your support to make eNNOTATE a reality.
Risks and challenges
eNNOTATE is a new technology and as with any new product, there is a possibility that unforeseen bugs and delays will occur.
Some of you will be concerned by our lack of experience and doubt that we have the skills to deliver the project.
That being said, we are committed to this and have completed most of the fundamental features of eNNOTATE. We have recruited mentors who are willing to guide and help us.
We pride ourselves on open communication and we will be frank with any issues with regards to the development of this project.
