Update 1 - And We're Delving!

Posted by TinkerHouse Games (Creator)

Hey everyone,

Thanks so much for being part of the first wave of the Dwarven Delve kickstarter campaign! This week has been a blast and is only just beginning. We're doing tons of communication outreach right now but you can help as well. Please facebook, tweet and whatever else you deem appropriate to get folks jazzed about the game. Together we can get this thing to the finish line.

This first update is mainly thanks and some information on what is upcoming soon:

  • We're posting the FAQ for already and undoubtedly soon to be asked questions.
  • An early bird rewards for the first 250 backers. Don't tell anyone. Wait... wait.. the opposite of that.
  • Dev chats - we're going to be announcing Google Hangout chats where we can discuss the game and maybe even screen cast some editing time.
  • Game Mechanic Updates - we're really excited about these. We hit the broad strokes of things that excite us with our game design in the video and on the page. We can't wait to go deeper so you can see the nuts and bolts of the game.

And lastly...

If anyone wonders how much stress getting to the launch point of one of these is, we've attached an informative video showing us venting it as we hit launch. Yes. We're dorks. We know.

Thanks all. I don't think it could have gone funnier if we scripted it. Hell, there's no way it could've been funnier. Pretty exciting moment over all.

When I launched Maze of Games, I told people there would be an exclusive puzzle for the first 100 backers. So I had several hundred people waiting for a 2:00 pm launch. At 2:00, Gaby told me to hit the button. So I did!

And then I saw the terms and conditions page. I have no idea what I agreed to that day. Probably Luke Crane owns my house now. But I hit the buttons and launched at 2:02. Needless to say I had two dozens "Where is it!" messages by that point.

So rad. Kickstarter should use that vid in their marketing.
