Hello, Alpha Kick Strike Team -
Today, thanks to an influx of new backers and some increased generosity from existing ones, we crossed a very important threshold. They say, (you know, they) that Kickstarters that can get to 30% of their funding goals are successfully funded 90% of the time.
We have no idea if this is true, but it's repeated often enough in Kick circles that we're going to choose to believe it.
Now of course, that stat must be a particularly bitter pill for the poor 10% that don't make it, and we aim not to be in that unfortunate group. To arms! Stay frosty! Etc!
Tinkers Lane and Sean spent the majority of the day working on general gameplay polish (I would dearly love to get more levels into our demo, but we'll see...) and I spent the day pressing the digital flesh of more gaming sites to hustle up additional coverage. All in all, we feel like it was a solid day's work. And like I said, we couldn't be more thrilled about hitting the 30% mark. It's NOT victory, but it's a good portent.
Hey, one other thing the Tinker engineers did today was make downloadable versions of our demo! Maybe you don't like the load time on the browser-based game. Well, you don't have to put up with that baloney! Now you can download the demo and run it natively on your PC or Mac! Whenever you want! On Demand!
Why? Because we love you. Sorry about all the exclamation points up there.
