iMusic BodyRhythm @ CES
What is iMusic BodyRhythm?
iMusic BodyRhythm is the first device that turns music rhythms into a physical experience. It works with an iPhone app and directly links to the playlists on your iPhone. With our unique music sync algorithm, you can enjoy the auto-synced beats from the rhythm of your favorite music, or tap and shake your iPhone to create your own drumbeat with any song as background. This innovative gadget gives you a new way to relax and enjoy your own music experience. Now, iMusic BodyRhythm takes the popular Gangnam Style to the next level, allowing you to feel the catchy beats that millions of people have only heard!
For the first time, you can not only listen to music…you can feel it too !

Demo Video of Prototype
Seamless auto-sync with rhythm
The iMusic BodyRhythm utilizes a proprietary algorithm that detects audio signals by applying "envelope" detection, filtering and then determining the beat of those signals. Our product allows users to adjust the intensity of the beat through the app and share their beats with other. This product has a patented zip design for users to enjoy a pat on their shoulders securely.

Where are we at?
In 2011, Uwe (the ex-musician and the creator) came up with the idea of iMusic BodyRhythm. The team - Charlie (innovation manager), Alex (product designer), Sherry (technology consultant), Young (technology consultant) and Dinggo (software engineer) - has been working closely on this project for one year and has plans to turn the prototype into mass production in March 2013.
We need your support!
With your support, we can successfully launch the iMusic BodyRhythm and show the world a new way to feel and share the music. Pledges will help to find resources to further our efforts in developing our proprietary algorithm and improving our hardware prototype.
Our schedule:
December:
• Prototype testing completed
• Modeling completed
• Final packaging design
January:
• Attending CES 2013
• Certification completed for iMusic BodyRhythm
• App testing completed
• Materials preparation for volume production
February:
• Test volume production
March:
• Volume production
• App available in APP store
We couldn't have done it without your help. So here are the rewards for the awesome kickstarters!

Risks and challenges
There are three main challenges of the project:
• Music Sync algorithm
Music Sync is the core technology in the BodyRhythm device. It is extremely difficult to extract the rhythm and beats from music accurately. It takes hard work, determination and a lot of know how. After several rounds of testing and multiple trials, we were able to pick up the rhythm accurately from the music.
• Bluetooth communication
Bluetooth communication is the key technology for wirelessly connecting the iPhone and the iMusic BodyRhythm. We spent three months testing and retesting this wireless connection with the hope of being extremely accurate. We are excited that users can control their BodyRhythm with a seamless experience.
• Production
As you can see from the video, our prototype is ready. In October 2012, we secured our manufacturer in China and we plan on going into mass production in March 2013. Producing a quality product is our biggest concern so we have plans to hire a team who will oversee logistics, including procuring parts and staying true to our production timeline. With your support, we can make this all happen!
This project has been challenging and fun! We have conquered many issues and celebrated lots of victories. We are hoping that with your help, we can make the iMusic BodyRhythm project a reality.
