"Till Life" is a story of a young compliant woman Sophia, who falls for a older agile Alexander. We witness the beginning, middle, and beyond of their relationship. Told through narration, some creative fx and strong visual storytelling. "Till Life" isn't just the story of their relationship, but a story of people and life .
Our focus for this project specifically is the Playhouse West film festival, which is open only to Playhouse West members, which our lead actress Breanna Box is. What does that mean? Well, it means there is a limited amount of films submitted with higher exposure rate due to it’s James Franco, who is also a member of Playhouse West, will be premiering his film as well and therefore will have a strong turn out of industry exposure. We have all cast and crew ready to shoot and post production standing by to edit in order to ensure we meet the festival deadline.
Sophia is played by a great upcoming actress Breanna Box and Alexander is played by Emmy Award Winning actor David Lago who is currently in Miami premiering a film and credits include “7th Heaven” and “Young the the Restless” . The cinematographer is Harry Frith whose credits include “Thin Red Line”, “House of Clues” and “Ruby”. The creative Director is Charley Bagcal who has internationally published fashion and music photographer. Director Brent Harvey is a Marine Corps Combat Photographer & Videographer Veteran. He documented “Operation Iraqi Freedom” and has shot for, “Discovery Channel”, Chaka Kahn and Doritos. The rest of the cast and crew are all very talented and driven individuals. Our narrator William Knight’s credits span many decades and include “Star Trek, the original series” as well as one of the most sought after voice over artist in the animated world.
What we really are asking you is to support a dream. Not just one dream, but the dreams of 35 cast and crew. Throughout time no matter what the economic or political situation there has always been entertainment, it is what keeps us going in good times and bad. And at a time when the arts are being removed from schools, we are looking to your support to allow us to continue to express ourselves as artists.
Our budget of $8,000 is just enough to pay for production costs, gas and food for the cast and crew. Anything above that will allow us to compensate for all the years and tears everyone has invested into their talents and careers to this point. Though we cannot guarantee that this project will win awards or make money, but we will guarantee that no matter what this project will be made and it will not be the last.
Supporting this project will allow every cast and crew member to continue their crafts and therefore you will always be a part of everything we do in the future by allowing us to express ourselves through our medium. We as well as you will be able to look back and say, I was part these individuals dreams and there is nothing that can take that away, though the only way we can repay that is by doing the best we can to tell a story that may effect the way people see things and possibly change the world one person at a time, all starting with your support. You are not just investing in a project, but people, artists.
We have rewards for supporting us as well, like: - Digital copy of "Til Life Do Us Part" - Behind the scenes video of "The Making Of: Til Life Do Us Part" - Movie poster w/ cast signatures - Copy of Script with Cast Signatures - And even – Special Thanks Credit in Film Check out all the rewards, and
Thank you for your support, even if that is just the time you took out to watch this video.
Risks and challenges
There is only one challenge we face, Money.
We have the cast and crew signed on and ready to go and therefore the only thing holding us back is money. We have limited locations, all of which are habitated by someone in the cast or crew, therefore won't lose them.
Everyone involved is professional, driven and committed to having this project be a launching pad to the next level in their careers. Combined, everyone has invested countless hours on projects without pay to get to this point. We are artists, and money is what allows us to live through our creations. Your support can ensure that.
This project has a hard deadline of submission on April 21st, which we have to meet in order to get into the Playhouse West Festival. We will complete this project no matter what, and with the Director Brent Harvey being at the helm and being a Marine Vet, he knows that mission accomplishment is the number one goal.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
