In the next 50 days we are daring to be opulent! Our goal is to raise $5000 to cover the cost of publicity, booking, and administration for a national tour. We believe its time to celebrate black men in a way that is tangible, physical, audible, and three-dimensional. The Opulence of Integrity should be seen by audiences of all ages, races, and backgrounds; your donation can make that possible. But, the viewing is only the beginning. In each anticipated venue we hope to host dialogues and workshops about masculinity, manhood, purpose and perception.
The Opulence of Integrity is an exploration of the homogeneous inner struggle for identity as it pertains to men of color in the United States. Using the life and legacy of Muhhamad Ali as an archetype, I have been able to take an intimate look at the trappings that continually prohibit freedom. This work is dedicated to my father, brother, and uncle who fought but did not win and to my son who's battle has yet begun. Born branded by history, burdened by responsibility and inspired towards greatness requires a committed heart and an opulence of integrity.

Risks and challenges
If we do not reach our funding goal this work may never be seen by audiences around the country. At present we do not have the backing to self produce performances in venues where the work would be well received. Furthermore, the communities that would benefit most from seeing this work do not have the funds to invite us to their theaters without a presenting subsidy. Opulence offers hope to its audiences in a time where black men have become synonymous with violence and despair. Our greatest fear is that this work will become obsolete and disappear, as do many of the dreams of African-American men. We want to shine light on the greatness that exist in forgotten places.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
