Photobook of scenic photos from my travels through Germanys Rhineland-Palatinate region. Read more

About this project
I’ve spent the last year traveling around the Rheinland Pfalz district of Germany trying to capture the best scenery that I could find. Waking up before the sun to capture the beautiful warm sunrises and fog covered valleys of southern Germany. Traveling to famous medieval castle ruins across the Rhineland as well as lessor known small German Villages that most will never have heard of, spending entire days waiting for the perfect moment to capture a unique view of this beautiful countryside.
My goal with Kickstarter is to raise enough funds to publish a photobook of my best work. The book will consist of over 80 high quality photographs bound in hardcover and paperback. There is one large photograph per page with several pages of double paged panoramic images. The funding I’m asking for will cover the cost of printing the finished book. Most of the work has already been completed all that’s left is editing and touching up of the final design.
Although I already have a ton of photographs ready for the book with several months left in Germany I'm planning on taking as many photos as I can which will be included in a limited edition of my book. This project has been a goal of mine for several year now and hopefully with your help I can realize my dream of publishing my book
The images on this page are just a few of the photos that will be included in the finished book. The book will include a wide range of photography from macro photos of wildlife to scenic views over looking beautiful valleys.
Risks and challenges
I think everyone knows the risks involved in funding a kickstarter project, but with a photography project like this there really isn’t much of any risk. It’s a fairly straight forward project with a clear goal but with that said I’m required to list some sort of challenges and risks to this project.
Admittedly it can be challenging to get a book printed but I’ve found a company that allows you to sale self-published works through their site. I have a stock pile of photos waiting to go and I’m working on the layout and design of the finished book right now. I’ve included several examples of my work here so that prospective backers can decide for themselves if they think my work is worth backing.
To contribute, just click on the pledge level that you like, and then you’ll enter your payment info through Amazon checkout. It’s all safe and secure.
Kickstarter is an all on nothing system so I’ll only receive the final payment when the project reaches its final goal. If I don’t reach that goal I don’t get any money and no one is charged. It’s a win win deal!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Most asked question I get is how I started a kickstarter project in Germany when you need USA information to create a project
The answer is rather simple yet disappointing to those who have asked, I'm a US citizen and I have only been living in Germany for the last two years, I still have a US address and bank account and I will be returning to the United States shortly. I'm sorry for all those out there that desire to start a kickstarter project but can't for this reason, I really think kickstarter should expand to more countries.
