Venice In Cardboard
Hello backers! A bit of an early one this week, but I have a cool thing to show you.
As the title suggests, it's time to show off Venice all printed out:
The card tiles have arrived! Here are the nine designs arranged in a pretty little setup. But what is Venice without buildings?
Here's just half of the buildings that you lucky Kickstarter backers will be getting! Get some miniatures in there and you've got a pretty good board.
But that's not all! Flip the tiles over and...
Water! Loads of lovely water. So if you want to play with more water on your board, you can. Or if you want to upgrade your card tiles to the MDF canal sections we make, you'll still have water to go underneath! Or if you want to play any other game in a water setting, they'll be fine for that too!
This is one of those awesome things that we wouldn't have been able to do without the Kickstarter, and we think it's a great improvement to the game overall. I hope you agree!
For our painted miniature today, we're delving into the depths of the Ospedale to see one of the weird and wonderful creatures of The Doctors.
This once brave and noble creature has been twisted into nothing more than a mindless beast, fighting for the Doctors lest they zap it with their prods. It's also beautifully painted, I'm sure you'll agree! Looks really gnarly!
Rulebook update: Scenarios are getting lots of playtesting time, all factions backgrounds are now in and done, and almost everything else in there is ready. Photos and diagrams are coming next, so we're almost there! Current estimate is between 225-250 pages total, so you'll all have lots of reading to do.
As always, I'll be back next week with more info to keep everyone as updated as possible. And once the rulebook goes off to print, we'll announce a shipping date. Until then, we don't want to say a date we can't meet. It'll be really soon though! Sorry again for the delay on this project, but we think when you get it in your hands you'll understand the production delays and appreciate all the extra work that's been poured in.
Oh, since I started writing this, I've actually had a delivery!
I haven't got time to go through it today before doing this update, so I'll have to save it for the next update. It's going to be of great interest to certain backers, but don't worry, I have something else that I think will be ready next week that'll be of interest to everyone!
Take care everyone, see you next week.
