The Biggest Model So Far?
Hello everyone! Just a quick one today. I'm currently at the part of the rulebook where I find out how Vlad got his powers, so I don't want to miss that before the weekend!
The Golgotha casts I talked about last week are all done now, so I sneaked over into the resin room and stole one while no one was looking to put together for you all.
Look at the size of that thing! That's what happens when your holy summoning power meets the eldritch energies of the Rent in the Sky. Things get weird.
I love this model so much! From the winged lion motif to the columns to the gondola iron as one of the wings... And I have to say, it goes together beautifully. I didn't clean any of the mould lines or anything, simply clipped the pieces off the sprues and stuck them together. They fit together perfectly, and it only took about two minutes before it was all done!
So just how big is the Golgotha? Well I thought I'd show off a new painted miniature today as comparison:
This is Fadhila, an exotic woman from far off lands. She was Gifted after the Rent opened, able to project a mystical force that deflects incoming blows, making her one of the most useful characters to include in your gang, particularly if you have some weaker characters that need protecting.
So how does this magical lady compare to a magical rock lion?
Told you it was big! But who is better? There's only one way to find out... FIGHT!
Jamie and I just had a one-on-one fight and Fadhila lost BAD. Turns out it only takes two rounds to kill a Gifted with a Golgotha. Starting 6" away and having no useful spells isn't the best counter to a massive stone monster. So we learned a valuable lesson today.
And with that I'm going back to Wallachia to find out all about Vlad Dracula and his Strigoi. Until next week!
