Playtesting In Progress

It's Friday! You know what that means? It means everyone has stopped paying attention to what I'm doing so I can run away from my regular work and do an update!

What regular work am I doing this week? Well, a picture's worth a thousand words and all that...

This is what playtesting looks like in the TTCombat offices

Playtesting! Not much of a surprise given the title of this update...

Rashaar vs The Doctors in this game! We were testing... well I'm not going to go into exactly what happens behind the veil. Got to be a bit mysterious.

The Rashaar are holding the centre of the board... for now

We don't usually play with Fin's beautifully painted miniatures, but I said I wanted to take some pictures, so we thought we'd spice it up a little. I'm just always thinking of you, our lovely backers.

That Unleashed Madman is going to make a mess of some fish men!

It was a good game, but The Doctors managed to clinch a victory. They were trying to poison the wells, and the Ugdru-Rashaar were too distracted to stop them!

We're currently working on some short videos explaining some of the rules changes we've been working on. If all goes to plan, I should be able to share the first of those with you all next week.

And if those weren't enough photos of painted miniatures (or if my phone camera isn't good enough for you!), here's another one to finish on!

Seeing as how the Unleashed Madman is above, I thought I'd do a lovely glamour shot to show him off (and some other members of the Ospedele).

Until next week, Venetians!

@Midnight: Just go with block colours of army painter spray. It's surprisingly effective to field miniatures in nice, flat colours based on their faction.

      @TTCombat:

      That is soooo me.

I had saved a bunch of hard packing foam from some furniture to make a Carnevale canal table...got some pointers from pros...looked at the raw materials and realized that this is soooo not me.

Seriously...the only thing that is ever going to save my massive amounts of Warmachine/Hordes, Carnevale, Home Raiders, and All Quiet on the Martian Front from certain primered-only play, will be winning the lottery or in some other way getting the funds to have someone professionally paint this stuff for me.

      Here's hoping...

      =)

@Midnight: Whenever playing on this terrain it gets me pumped up to make my own. Then I realise that nope, it won't look nearly as good.

@Jason: At some point! Those ones are actually prototypes that we* painted up. The resin department are a little busy at the moment casting the literal THOUSANDS of Carnevale miniatures, but once they're done with those, we've got loads of cool scenery plans to implement!

      *Not me.

Ooooh, I love the resin scatter terrain. The painted up fountain looks great! Are those going to be available soon?

I always feel less of a hobbyist after seeing such beautiful terrain and minis...and knowing that my stuff will never look that good.

      But it is still cool.

      Nice stuff to come!
