Doctors Faction Focus, another stretch goal, and a sneak peek at the Gifts box!

Morning backers!

Another stretch goal falls and you can see the model below

A sneaky little pilferer who will also be available as a £5 add on.

Hopefully today will see the social goals begin to fall, in light of that here is a sneak peek of something from the mystery box. Maybe I will get to share the colour art with you later today :D In the mean time you can ask all the questions you like but I'm not saying anything more about it!

Dan has done another little video, this time about the Doctors faction.

That is all for this morning but I will be back later on today with more on the social goal, an extra video and more!

@ unseen Giraffe – I am not too sure about 'weird' weapons, either. Nevertheless, I think I am going for the starter box plus all the factions, just in case I am going to change my mind some time in the future (or another player wants to try out any other faction).
You could, however, only invest in factions that do not use 'weird' weapons or 'steam punk technology'. Leave out the Doctors of the Ospedale, go – exclusively? – for the Patricians and the Guild instead. After all, this will be YOUR copy of «Carnevale» and you make the rules!

Oh...maybe you are talking about the Doctors' vid?

Just think of some of the Doctors as artificers, techno-wizards (if you know Rifts), alchemists, enchanters and the like.

It's still magic, but they've discovered a way to harness that magic and run it through a focus, if you will.

So instead of a magic wand, you have a beam emitter that channels magical energy. Same concept, just more of a mad-science-horror flavor.

      =)

But don't worry. Most folks are fighting with sword, cleaver, frying pan, pistol, tooth & claw, or straight-up magic casting. Oh...and then the folks that have super powers.

It's an awesome hodge-podge with lots of options to really dig into the faction(s) you find interesting.

      =)

      @unseen Giraffe:

Yeah, but the Rashaar are Lovecraftian...Deep Ones, Dagon, Mother Hydra, and hybrids, in essence. So Star Spawn would be quite fitting. Also, if you read the fluff (assuming it stays basically the same as the original incarnation), and assuming I'm remembering correctly, the statue that was brought to Venice for study, that started causing horrific nightmares and oddities, and perhaps "saved" Venice when the Rent occurred, was also Lovecraftian (possibly a statue of Cthulhu himself...need to read that fluff again!). So again, this is all definitely tied to the base of Carnevale.

Rashaar, Strigoi, Mad Experiments...oh my! Time to party like its 1799!

      =)

Less keen on seeing 'weird' weapons. Hope we don't get too many of these. I like the fact it's sword and musket against horror and magic.
