Can we really ask anything more than joining us on HALLOWEEN as we rock out to Krista Knight's first show back in NEW YORK CITY after three years in graduate school—Knight & Brinegar's first musical collaboration—Chayes and Knight's first show together since their sold out run of CLEMENTINE AND THE CYBER DUCKS at the Ontological Hysteric Theatre—our first gut swinging, burlesque singing, 19th century casio-pop grand guignol? Being able to share SALAMANDER LEVIATHAN with you (costume-clad) on October 31st at Ars Nova is the most important thing.
In order to do that, we’re raising funds to pay for rehearsal space, a healthy dose of fake blood, a tiny stipend for our hard working actors and creative team, and a ticket for our composer Barry Brinegar (lead singer of Arkansas-based David’s Pegasus) to join us to develop and play SALAMANDER LEVIATHAN for this awesome opportunity.
Three years ago Knight emailed David’s Pegasus’ website to see if they might want to write a musical together. Director JESS CHAYES and actors BEN BECKLEY, EMILY PERKINS, and STEPHEN STOUT wrangled the first fifteen pages in the summer of 2010. Jump cut to now!
Contributions start as low as $1 and will forever endear you to our hearts, and the continuing life of this show, and for $15 it’s THE way to get a CD of soundtrack.
THE SALOWEEN TEAM also includes Dan Morin, Alison Scaramella, Stuart Feild, Andrew Fox, Ethan Gould, and Sara Pauley.
Thank you thank you
