"The Bad Words Experiment" is the 2nd exhibition created by The New and Attractive Juveniles, following "The Send Help Project". This show intends for 20+ artists from various backgrounds to interpret the theme "Bad Words" in any way they choose.
"The Send Help Project" was a great success and an inspiring process for all involved. As young creatives, we yearn to find opportunities to express ourselves outside of our 9-5's. "The Send Help Project" was an experiment to see if we could bring together a group of artists who shared our ideals. We believe that opportunities to display one's work should not be limited by the slim chance of acceptance to institutionalized galleries. We also believe in the spirit of collaboration. Inspired by the momentum of our first show, we are motivated to keep creating these opportunities for ourselves and for those who wish to participate.
Our plan is as follows: In order to put this show together, the primary expense is an exhibition space that can hold the work of 20 artists. Other expenses we anticipate (based on our last experience) include: Vinyl wall decals, Postcards, Posters, Personalized Promotional Invitations, Catalog, Lights, Paint, and Refreshments.
We funded our last show out of pocket, and simply can't afford to repeat that expense. But we do want to continue to hold these shows, and we don't want to see finance as a limitation to what can be done.
We have the talent, the manpower, the motivation and the time to successfully repeat what we accomplished with "The Send Help Project". We're ready to go. All we need is the backing and support from those who want to see young artists display their work. For more information and documentation of our last exhibition, please take a look at www.sendhelpproject.blogspot.com.
Thank you for reading about our project. We hope you will find our cause worthy of supporting.
