One day, as I sat on a park bench attempting to warm a bottle of chilled milk under my arm for my screaming infant daughter, I had an epiphany. I knew there had to be a way for active people to go about their lives without having to be tethered to their home or car. This epiphany led to the creation of MOX.
Having to rely on electricity, stovetops or microwaves makes it nearly impossible to lead an active lifestyle. Say goodbye to chargers, cables and cords and hello to the convenience of MOX, an on-the-go, wireless container that heats food or liquid up to 160°F in minutes.
With MOX you’ll never miss a beat. Adventure seekers, active families and busy people can keep right on moving, doing and going thanks to MOX’s unique patent-pending technology that can heat food or liquids up to 3-4 times on just one charge.
We know busy lifestyles demand convenience. MOX was designed to free up your time so you can pay more attention to the people and experiences that matter most to you!
Join the Journey.
Given the chance, we will be able to bring MOX into the consumer market. All pledges go toward the costs of manufacturing and distributing the first 100/+ units of MOX and help cover the marketing costs. With your continued support, we believe we can reach our goal.
Aside from support received through pledges, we need help spreading the word about MOX. Sharing this campaign, or any of our content, on social media and other platforms would be a huge help for us.
Risks and challenges
Over the past two years, MOX went through several different design iterations. It was originally shaped more like a pot, then more like a bottle warmer (this old version is seen in the Kickstarter video on our youtube page) before evolving into its current thermos-like shape. This shape allowed us to keep our heating elements and make a more ergonomic and portable product.
Because of the heating process associated with MOX, and our desires to market to families, we needed to be certain that we were not overlooking any details. We brought in a skilled and experienced team of engineers (Lineo Engineering). Our team consisted of mechanical, hardware and software engineers working side-by-side with product designers to ensure that MOX is not only convenient, but safe and reliable.
MOX contains lithium-ion batteries which are classified as a hazardous material. This creates an issue international shipping. Our team is actively working on finding shipping solutions and we are confident we will be ready to ship by Summer 2019!Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
