AnyKicks - Clipless pedals have met their match

AnyKicks are the patent pending adapters that enable you to use any shoe with any clipless pedal system, without sacrificing foot retention and while maximizing the underlying pedal technology that makes clipless pedals so appealing.
THE ISSUE: Clipless pedals are an important upgrade for many cyclists who want to maximize their performance on the bike. However, this performance gain is not without trade offs. With Clipless pedals a casual ride means having to either change shoes, change pedals or means riding atop the small slippery and uncomfortable clipless pedal body.
THE SOLUTION: Several products over the years have sought to solve this problem by converting clipless pedals into platform pedals. Anykicks are the evolution of that concept providing not only foot retention, but maintaining the engagement and disengagement mechanism which make clipless pedal systems so enjoyable to use.
COMPATABILITY: Anykicks will work with any clipless pedal system currently on the market. You simply attach the appropriate cleat using the factory supplied bolts. Any kicks have hole patterns for both 2-hole and 3-hole systems.
MANUFACTURING: Anykicks are proudly designed, built and assembled in the USA from the highest quality glass reinforced nylon, stainless steel hardware and high strength polyester webbing. I am committed to bringing a high quality product to market, while supporting our local economy and manufacturing industry.

THE DESIGN: I have spent the past two years designing and redesigning AnyKicks. The design has been sculpted by exhaustive trial and error and constant iteration. My goals have been to improve all aspects of how the product functions, maximizing its durability while also keeping costs low by simplifying manufacturing.
USING ANYKICKS: Anykicks are extremely simple to use and offer versatility that no other pedal system can match. After setting up the platforms with the appropriate cleats you simply route the one piece strap through the slots on the platform. The micro adjustability of the straps allows a broad array of shoe sizes and shapes to function with Anykicks and since strap adjustment takes only seconds, day to day changes in footwear are not a problem. I am so confident that you will find Anykicks useful, that I am offering a six month guarantee. Try Them and if you don't like them return them for a full refund.

Once strapped to your shoes, you can engage and disengage your clipless pedals as you normally would while wearing dedicated cycling shoes. Anykicks can also function like bmx style pedals and straps where you slip your feet in and out of the straps and of course the strap can be removed in a matter of seconds, leaving behind a sturdy grip enhanced platform in the event you do not desire foot retention.

Why Kickstarter? I am coming to you today for funding to help pay for the initial cost of the tooling, the creation of the injection molds, and so that I can fulfill a minimum product order. I would also like to test final prototypes that will be made from a nearly identical nylon polymer as the final version. These exact prototypes will allow me to tweak the final design and determine the exact plastic composition to insure that Anykicks are as durable as possible.
Rewards in a nutshell

Production Plan: Once this project has been successfully funded, the final prototypes will be produced, these prototypes will be extensively tested allowing me to fine tune the exact polymer composition for the final product. The Injection Molds will be created once this composition has been determined and we will create the first production run.
Special Thanks:
This project would not have been possible without the support of my friends and family.
EDIT: Completely forgot to thank Nate Cooper, who has been my legal resource during my provisional patent filing. He recognized the project immediately as something useful and was eager to help. Thanks Cooper!
A special thanks to Zack Simone for the extensive testing of the adapters, creating the excellent Anykicks logo, appearing in the video, and hyping my project whenever he's had a chance to.
The Video was Shot and Produced by the very talented Paul Vu, www.paulvuphotographer.com
The excellent music was composed by Ramsey Fauset who also helped edit the audio track.
Joe Dietz for helping out on the video, and using his truck as a mobile tripod.
Tyler Boland for appearing in the video, and providing his downtown loft for the video shoot.
Jerry Wanetick, the very first person to test Anykicks outside myself, and the person who facilitated the manufacture of the first professionally produced prototypes.
Hart Wanetick for teaching me to 3D model, and producing the first 3D printable files, thus elevating my prototypes immensely.
My wife for all her support and motivation throughout this process.
Risks and challenges
Over two years of researching, designing, and testing AnyKicks with several satisfied beta testers of early prototypes, and a combined, distance travelled well in excess of 3,000 miles I know my product not only functions well, but it is extremely durable. I have sourced domestic manufacturing in order to minimize issue that overseas production can bring. By partnering with manufacturers here in the United States, I am insuring greater accountability and on time delivery, while also supporting my local economy.
