Many of Creepy Castle's (many) tunes are several years old now. While we think they have definitely stood the test of time, the composers' abilities have come a long way since the songs were first written. With this stretch goal, we'll be able to take the time to carefully go over every song and bring them to the next level.

Creepy Castle is an exploratory sidescrolling RPG about a moth in a castle. It's a fresh adventure with the look of a classic, but don't let the retro paintjob fool you; this is a new-school experience. Traditional turn-based combat meets an energetic twist in the form of Duels, where instead of taking turns doling out damage, you are offered a chance to score free hits on your opponent if you perform excellently... but don't let your guard down, or you might find yourself pummeled!
A conspiracy is welling deep within the stone walls of an ancient keep, its master leading its denizens to construct a revolutionary new device; one made to move the world forward onto a new path of evolution. To investigate comes the plucky adventurer, Moth, but what lies in store is a secret too vast to be contained by mere castle walls. Prepare to enter an imaginative fantasy world of bugs, battles and bravery in Creepy Castle!
Creepy Castle follows not one story, but many, each forming a piece of the complete work and over-all tale! A scenario is a playable story within the game that brings you on a full multiple-hour adventure with a beginning, middle and end with its own characters and plot, as well as its own approach to gameplay... not to mention each scenario packs an unlockable mode with a different playable character and story set in the same environment!

When fighting the many denizens and bosses of Creepy Castle, you will find yourself challenged to Duels, which bring an element of skill into the skirmish. Every enemy has its own set of Duels which they may initiate, and furthermore every enemy has their own twist on each duel; for instance, a bumbling guard will be slower at quick-draw than one of his grizzled captains, and a parrying a samurai will be very different from parrying a martial artist! An accessibility mode is available which makes duels more casual in difficulty.
Art and Music
Creepy Castle's aesthetic is inspired by the golden age of gaming, but don't think that means anyone's slouching! Every pixel is doted over, every line and curve counted and tweaked to perfection. There is a focus on binary, single-color art and elaborate set design.

Dopterra is a group of hobbyist game enthusiasts started in 2008. We come from many different walks of life and parts of the globe!
The money raised through this Kickstarter will go directly into supporting the development of the game. Any funds past the target goal will then go towards stretch goals, which are extra goals that will solidify further additions to the game. A portion of the money will go into taxes, production costs, processing fees and Kickstarter's cut. Leftover money will go into making backer rewards sweeter!
Risks and challenges
The game engine is completely done! The first two scenarios can be played in their entirety and all of the most aggravating programming hurdles have been surmounted, so the only challenges to come with the implementation of new features and content are minimal. The possible risks are limited to any unforeseen difficulty in content production or emergency, but our schedule already accounts for a bit of leeway.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
A minority of people have expressed dislike with the "Bloom" shader seen in all of the media. Worry not, this is an entirely optional feature! In fact, it is off by default in the game. To change Bloom settings at any time, you simply go into the options menu, where you can select bloom style and intensity, or none at all.
