Why are so many women excited? They’ve all read the book Fifty Shades of Silver Hair and Socks by Phil Torcivia. And they are clamoring for more. We’d like to give it to them by transforming the book into a wildly funny feature film.
Simply put, we think this parody will be a fun movie. And while traditional funding can take years to raise (if ever), who better to help us turn this into a reality than Phil’s many fans! Our goal is to raise $300,000.00 in order to start production in the summer of 2013. All monies will go directly to the cost of making the film. Although that’s not a huge budget, we are positive we can make a great film with it.
For the film we will cast two remarkable actors in the lead roles that are highly skilled in their craft – and very sexy! (Which is the point, right?) And we believe we can fill several of the supporting roles with known celebrities.
We will also bring together a stellar production team, with an experienced, hard-working crew and a highly creative team of producers.
With Hollywood negotiating to turn the New York Times best selling Fifty Shades of Grey into a feature film, we want to beat them to the punch and get our parody out first. And once theirs is released, we believe we’ll draw an even larger audience to Fifty Shades of Silver Hair and Socks as a result.
For those of you who haven’t read Fifty Shades of Silver Hair and Socks, this is what it’s all about….
It’s a parody of Fifty Shades of Grey and revolves around Mormon Silver, a snappy blogger in his fifties, and Beatrice Plastique, a gorgeous billionairess. The moment they meet sparks fly and it just gets hotter and hotter as Mormon fulfills an agreement made with her – a series of escalating couplings in exchange for twenty-five dollar Amazon gift cards. Throw in Bea’s gay assistant, her cranky mother and her nasty ex-fiancée who is determined to get rid of Mormon, and you have a wild ride with many twists and turns. Oh yeah, there are hockey sticks and argyle socks involved too.
Here are some of the many comments the book Fifty Shades of Silver Hair and Socks has received from fans:
