Eugene is socially awkward, but smart. Being extremely left brained and mathematical he sees the world with numbers and logic. He has a lot of trouble seeing where other people are coming from and comes across as harsh and insensitive. This makes him hesitant to engage strangers. He is a coward but excuses himself with logic and reason.
Amy’s personality is a strange dichotomy of the innocent act she plays to appeal to her customers, and the guarded woman who has lived through hell during her life as a sex slave.
