Shortcomings of other smart locks
While Keymitt works with most of the standard locks in North America and Europe, there can be exceptions. This is why we designed Keymitt with room for adaptability. Send us measurements of your door lock knob and we will provide you 3D printable blueprints.
Open source BLE API
Have a running z-wave/zigbee home system in place and want to add a smart lock? Use our built-in API to be able to control Keymitt locally.
Keymitt is equipped with AES 256 Dynamic Key Encryption. There is no known practical attack that would allow someone to read data encrypted by AES. We embrace open source communities and this is why we will put the software for review on our website.

Risks and challenges
Some doors might not work with the existing Keymitt adapters, albeit they should cover 89% of the doors in the market. Therefore, we are welcoming our open-source community to help us retrofit even those doors with rare shapes.Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
