A new Dungeon Solitaire game,
Where your soul is the devil's playground ...
Dungeon Solitaire is a narrative fantasy card game. With each turn you defeat monsters, disarm traps, and open doors as you delve the depths of a dark dungeon. The original game, Tomb of Four Kings, used a standard deck of playing cards, and is still available free on my website. The followup tarot game, Labyrinth of Souls, was launched with a hugely successful Kickstarter. That game has gone on to win even more fans and has inspired a series of stand-alone novels published by ShadowSpinners Press. Now we're launching a new Dungeon Solitaire game called Devil's Playground!

The game is once again designed and written by Matthew Lowes and illustrated by artist Josephe Vandel. Delve into the deepest corner of the darkest dungeon with the Devil's Playground stand-alone game, or use the Devil's Playground cards and rulebook to expand your Labyrinth of Souls games in a variety of ways. You will experience new challenges and unexpected surprises with every delve.
The unique 54 card Devil's Playground deck includes 25 fully illustrated Dungeon Solitaire cards with 3 demons, 7 sins, 3 graces, 4 magic items, 3 events, 3 boss encounters, a supply cache, and a full suit of armor! The Devil's Playground rulebook, available in print and PDF, will include rules for the stand-alone game as well as a variety of rules for incorporating the Devil's Playground into expanded Labyrinth of Souls games. While Devil's Playground uses fewer cards than Labyrinth of Souls, it features more depth and complexity than the 54-card Tomb of Four Kings game.

About the Cards:
The Devil's Playground cards will be lavishly illustrated in full color by Josephe Vandel. We are offering the cards in two variants: a standard deck to match existing tan-backed Labyrinth of Souls decks, and a higher quality, red-backed deluxe deck that will match new red-backed Labyrinth of Souls deluxe decks, also available at some rewards levels. Deluxe cards will be the highest quality available through print on demand card publishing. While it's not possible to deliver Bicycle quality cards on a limited print run, these are still extremely high quality, more on the level of Magic cards, and definitely higher quality than the previous Labyrinth of Souls decks.
About the Rulebook:
The Rulebook is available as a PDF, convenient to read on any tablet or computer, or as a paperback print edition. All rewards levels $5 and up will receive the PDF rulebook, even if they have opted for a print edition. The book will be a 5.5x8.5 matte finish paperback that will be a nice companion volume to the Labyrinth of Souls rulebook.
