Unfortunately yes. We did some experiments using supposedly pet-immune motion sensors, they simply block out low-level motion from the PIR's viewport. While this may work for motion sensors that are mounted near the ceiling, it won't work for power outlet-level sensors like the Zing. As a result, large pets could trigger the Zing and large pet could confuse Zing's path prediction algorithm. If your household include a large pet, you may still use Zing as a colorful mood lighting or visual indicator but with both of the above features disabled.
