We are introducing our Exemplar line of hand-turned, custom designed luxury pens. Read more
This project was successfully funded on October 14, 2011.
We just wanted to let our Kickstarter backers know that we have received all of the necessary hardware to complete the assembly of your pens. We will be working to have them shipped out by tomorrow (Monday at the very latest). We apologize for the delay and thank you for your patience. Thanks again for your support.

Hello Baltz backers
Over the past few days we have been receiving a few inquiries as to when the pens will be delivered. We did estimate that we would be able to send out your pens in November, but we had a few delays with the hardware production. We are working to send you the pens as soon as possible (probably early December). We have already made roughly half of the wood bodies for the pens, and they look great.
We regret that we are not able to deliver these in November as we estimated, but we didn't want to rush through the hardware production process and deliver a sub-par product to our Kickstarter backers. We hope you understand, and we appreciate your support. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any further questions.

We wanted to send a big thank you to everyone who helped us demolish our goal of $10,000. We are forever thankful to you for helping us to get this endeavor off the ground, and we can't wait to deliver our first line of pens. Last week we started setting up our company full-time, and we are working as hard as possible to deliver your writing instruments by mid-late November.
You can follow us on Twitter (www.twitter.com/baltz_pens) or Facebook (http://on.fb.me/ogGqmD) if you'd like to keep up with our progress. Please do not hesitate to message us via Kickstarter if you have any questions.

What a weekend. Our Alumni Game was Saturday, where we were able to reconnect with past teammates and their families. Not to mention, the weather was perfect. Unfortunately -- or fortunately from the current team's perspective -- the (washed-up) Alumni came out on the wrong end of a 4-0 drubbing. It was a great day nonetheless.
As we were nearing our goal, Bart went to Trader Joes on Thursday and bought, according to him, a bottle of their second cheapest Champagne (RSVP, I believe) in hopes that we could have a celebratory drink Saturday night for reaching our goal. We had great support Friday and a couple backers Saturday but still were slightly shy of the $10,000 goal. Bart made an executive decision to celebrate two great weeks of funding anyway, so we, along with friends, enjoyed (i.e., stomached) the Champagne before going out in Charlotte. Turns out the "celebratory" Champagne may have been an omen in the end. Before we woke up this morning (slept in a little later than usual) our goal had been reached with a generous donation from Marc Andreessen, who bought ten pens!
Once again, thank you to everyone who has supported our project to date. Like we've said times before, we couldn't do this without your help.
