A giant, playable D&D poster that is both a dungeon map and the complete rules for generating random dungeons from the 1e DMG.
This intricately illustrated 36" by 24" playable dungeon map poster encapsulates the Dungeon Master's Guide's complete rules for generating random dungeons: Appendix A's four pages of charts are rendered into a flowchart WHICH IS ITSELF A DUNGEON. It's like the Platonic dungeon: from it, all other dungeons may be generated. Or maybe it's the Dungeon of Ouroboros. Or maybe it's D&D's missing game board.
This blogofholding.com Kickstarter ends right before Wizards of the Coast re-releases the First Edition rulebooks, so you should get your new 1e rulebooks and this 1e game poster on around the same day.
Along with my last poster, the OD&D Illustrated Wandering Monster Poster, this poster is all you need to generate infinite random dungeon adventures for solo or group play.
With three days left, we've hit tons of bonus goals and more are in reach! Here's a list of what extras you'll get for every pledge level.
$5 backers: $5 backers started with a PDF of the poster. As bonus rewards, they're now getting:
$17+ backers: $17 backers started with a Random Dungeon poster and a PDF of the poster. As bonus rewards, they get:
$22+ backers: Besides whatever else they get for their pledge levels (a signed poster, etc), all $22+ backers get a PDF of the poster. As bonus rewards, they get:
Higher backers: Every bonus reward for the $5+, $17+, and $22+ tiers!
Bonus reward for posterity: I've agreed to donate my original artwork to Tim Hutchinson, the curator of D&D history, for PlaGMaDA.
Shipping: If you live outside of North America, and you're getting a poster in the mail, please add $5 to your pledge for international shipping. That's true for every pledge level from $17 up: so, for instance, if you want the $22 reward, please pledge $27. If you don't, I'll nag you about it when the project closes.
USA, Canada, and Mexico don't require extra shipping.
I'll do my best to have mailed stuff (posters and stickers) arrive in April. I'm on the pace, as long as no shipping/printing roadblocks develop.
Most PDFs will be available in April as well, probably around the same time as the posters are mailed. The Paul's DM Notebook lulubook will also be available in April.
The all-star dungeon adventures PDF and lulubook will be ready later: it's scheduled for May, but it depends on the availability of the authors.
The online dungeon crawler should be ready in May or June or so. One thing I've learned as a programmer is not to guarantee software delivery dates.
One more thing...
