The goal of the game is to build the tallest building in the city of Dubai. An unlimited player board game where Monopoly meets Jenga.
This project will only be funded if it reaches its goal by Tue, December 11 2018 1:09 AM UTC +00:00.
The game is an unlimited multi-player board game to build the highest building in Dubai. The winner is the player who has the tallest building at the end of game.
Anyone can join the game with their own unique, colored or symbol printed, playing unit (10 land tiles and 10 building units). The game is designed to accommodate multiple players. As many as 10, 20 or even 100 player games are possible.
Toppling a building means bankruptcy, in which case the player must retire from the game at once and all of their building units are frozen.
The player who can maintain tallest tower at the end of game wins.
- Board : To build the city foundation by placing every player's 10 land tiles.
- Pieces : Every players gets 10 building units. There are 2 sets of single cube, dicube, tricube and two kinds of tetracubes.
The game consists of three phases.
●The First phase is to create the foundation of Dubai city by the placement of land tiles.
Decide the first player. Each player has their own 10 land tiles and they place a tile alternately touching other tile(s) already placed on the table. After they have placed all their tiles then move to the Second phase.
●The Second phase is to construct the towers on the owned land tiles.
First player starts by placing one of their own building units on the any of their own land tiles. Players alternate placing tiles until all units have been placed. Once all building units are placed, play moves to the Third phase.
●The Third phase is to consolidate towers and and stack them on an existing tower.
Players take turns moving any one of their own building units and stacking it on an existing building. Ownership of a building is determined by the color on the top level, even if another players units are part of the building. The player can move in any of six directions and a player can skip over buildings to get to their target. Moves must be made in a straight line in one of the six directions. Units must be placed at a higher level than they started, they cannot be placed at a lower or the same level as their pre-move position. On their turn, a player can move any number of pieces from the top of a building they own, even if the moved stack contains pieces of other players' colors. The target location for stacking can be any building in one of the six straight line directions from the starting location. Players may rotate a solo unit three dimensionally and building units horizontally.
Toppling and Passing
Toppling a building means bankruptcy, in which case the player must retire from the game at once. Toppled building and the other destroyed buildings by the toppling also must be taken from the board. The toppling player's other building units placed in the middle of the building remains but they aren't alive, so if the building unit comes to the top of building, then it must be taken from the board at once.
Passing is allowed and it means retirement of the game. Players can't move their building unit after the retirement but all their building units are alive in the play. If there isn't any building unit to move, then player must pass and retire from the game.
When all players retire or have no building unit to move, the game is over. The player who can maintain tallest tower wins the game.
