The Pilot Episode for the new show of Tikis and Mikis, longer laughs and longer smiles!
Tikis is a young tiger, and Mikis is a young alien.
Tikis and Mikis were born a little while ago when developing a children´s book project, as the toys of two brothers who play together. But soon they started to have their own stories and gags, and for years they´ve been playing in my sketchbooks as doodles.
Even though their personality and look is completely different they have a special link, like brothers, and their stories are filled with humour.
We wanted to bring them to animation, but unfortunately we had no budget, so we decided to create small webisodes of around a minute in length. Since last October we´ve been pushing on persistently, completing one new episode every month, hoping that each one would bring smiles to the audience.

Now our goal is to make the pilot episode for the new show in a longer format!
As the characters expand and grow, their stories do too. Now we want to develop a 6-7 minutes long Pilot Episode. A New Show in a longer format means we can create more fun with great stories, driven by the characters and their interaction.
This pilot will be the starting point of the show, and our goal is to find a complete 26 episodes series.
One of my great experiences in 2d animation was working on "The Peanuts show" at Bill Meléndez Productions, where learned so much. The quality, simplicity and look of the animation became very special to me and now I use that philosophy on Tikis and Mikis.
There is one single goal:
That each episode, will make you smile!.
The best thing about Tikis and Mikis is the team developing it, professionals with a passion for animation all bringing their best to the project. I feel very lucky to have them by my side.
Right from the beginning we were a group friends - very excited with the characters and the opportunity to have fun doing what we love most – Animation!
As time went on, the team has expanded, and now our family has experts in music, graphic design, production, online management, etc. Everyone is working hard to make Tikis and Mikis better and better.
This is our last episode!!
Risks and challenges Learn about accountability on Kickstarter
Once achieved the funding we will start the production immediately.
We feel that there is a low risk associated to this project, we have already produced eight 1-minute episodes, we have long experience producing animation and plenty of confidence in our team.
We will keep you updated and informed about all our goals and timing, so you feel part of the production as well.
